Do you have a fantasy character idea that you love, but just isn't right for your stories? Well, I'm throwing a small contest that just might solve that problem!

Submit a description of the character's appearance, abilities, motivation, and desires in the thread below. The character with the most likes at the end of the weekend will score a prize for the designer!

The most voted character in this thread will be added as a side character in my current novel, "My Second Life is a Heroic Power Fantasy", where they will take the role of an adventurer side character in the narrative and interact with the MCs.

If you're interested in checking the story out and getting a sense of the kind of character that might work well in the story, here's a quick link to it-

So, what's the prize, you may ask?

Well, I will read and review a story the winner has published (winner's choice), edit a chapter of their choice from this story, and even tag their novel with whatever they like! Additionally, I can offer personalized advice on writing technique and industry practice, as I have written professionally for books and games.

Sound interesting? Post a clever character below and let's get this show on the road!

Bertran Quasimodo.

A huge guy that looks menacing, but has a big heart. A little giant friend that could be bullied, but will put his life on the end if his loved ones are threatened.

As big as Hodor in the Game of Thrones, a bit clumsy, but if he's angry, you'll wish that you're somewhere far away in an unknown city.

Abilities: Inhuman Strength

Desire: To have someone that he could protect and call as his true friend :D

Even if this one won't win, I hope you could give my story a review. I would love to have you as a visitor inside the mini-world in my mind. Here's the link for my novel - WAR GROUNDS is the title. Cheers!

Mirna, the Maid

Archetype: rebel

Nobody would tell Mirna is a rebel by heart; not even herself. Born in a low class family, her only alternative was to become a maid. She learned early life isn’t fair, and she did what as in her control to amend things.
At first, she became an efficient maid, to fix what was wrong in her master’s house. Then, she went further, and decided to change her master’s life. After it, she expanded her plans to fix the whole city.
Being a smart woman, Mirna knows a low class person is not taken into account so easily. As the adage says, the nail that sticks up is the first to be hammered. So Mirna resorts on her low key status and appearance; and most importantly, her wits, to get things done.
Mirna learned how to be discreet in her doings to get things made her way. She never tires; she never gives up. Being a maid and an unimportant person makes things easier to her: gather information; tweak and deliver information; be invisible most of the times… You name it. She gets little things done that could alter greatly the things in the end.
When the word of a new religion_or better, a new take on an old religion_ came to the town, Mirna got “the Revelation”. She was convicted she could be her God’s instrument in this world.
She has her own interpretation of the Holy teachings, as natural for a rebel. Now her righteousness is a weapon to do good and hurt the infidels.
FACTS
She is proud of being the one that knows “the Truth”, but does not preach all the time. Just will use a condescending tone as appropriate.
As the new religion is not well known by outsiders, Mirna tweaks its teachings and rules as convenient or when she doesn’t wish to do something. She uses to say: “We, (...)ists, would never do (...). Our faith doesn’t allow it.” And variations.
She does only what she wants. Always. But, unless she can use her religion as excuse for not doing something, she will never directly say she’s not doing something that was ordered.
She always use a straight face, even when she’s screwing you.
She’s petty.
She’s driven by justice. She works for balance. She doesn’t have sides.

As you see she’s a very imperfect character. Mirna can fit in most novels and scenarios, as comic relief and support character (just swap “maid” for any other low class job that give her access to important things).

This is my character, hope you like it.

a month later

Can I still join??

A druid character......
Name: Yulvectous

If a druid character is okay, I'd want to write more for my character~~

It's not yet too late I guess?
So my character is: Ivan Von Gromhart

-He is an OC I've drawn, I'm also an artist (anime)
-His backstory is set back in the European Middle-Ages where the governance is by aristocracy
-He is the first son of Earl Karl Von Gromhart, so he is the heir of the Gromhart House
-He was spoiled and pampered, thus making him vain, arrogrant and yet spineless
-Did not have many friends aside from the other noble children
    -Went to a prestigious academy
-Some time later, went to a field trip(lol) where a... well... catastrophe happened.
-All of them got teleported to the Athelian Wilderness; an extremely dangerous place filled with monsters and demons
-Struggled to survive there and had his personality shifted thanks to the events which transpired. ( fought with his friends and the commoner students etc)
-Managed to survive, returned after x years
-Back home, he was declared as dead, the brother he bullied replaced him as heir
-And so, he left, becoming an adventurer/wanderer/whatever u want him to be.(I have'nt decided yet:))
    -Tnx!
