I had the same experience.
They just sticked post about it. That it mainly concerns PC users and to check-in on app.
Checking in app, doesn't work too..
Just got 5ss from checking in with mobile. And then watched ad to make it 10. This is the lowest ss i have ever gotten after this double ss with ad watching patch. Even getting ps would've been better

Qwertg Know what, that's going to be the future. Got 5 SS two times in a row, and doubled to 10. Everyone else is also getting 5 SS now, and doubling to 10. I think they limited it to flat 5 SS for check-in, with 5 SS for watching ad.
