Gourmet_DAO I recently received notifications that I was now level 10, then level 11. Means nothing.

I've just reached Level 11, there's no privs attached to this, it's just dead code.

GabrielM00 They always roll out their new gimmicks without any kind of fanfare or explanation. I still receive experience points even though that legacy system doesn't seem to do much of anything anymore. What would level 8 even give me?

Gourmet_DAO A bit more, the level stuff has been broken/abandoned for quite a while now, and is a trivial programming task. No one at the management level wants to expend energy on it, or it would already be solved. How hard is it to say FREE_PASSES=(LEVEL+1)/2 ?? Same for energy and power stones.

Gourmet_DAO I feel their long term strategy, assuming they really have one, will be detrimental to their business. The novels are the foundation, but the comment communities were what added the spice. With translation schedule breakdowns, and privileged chapters, the communities die off.

If novels I've spent money on are never going to be finished, I have much less incentive to give them any more of my shekels. That will only please the aggregators, as their ad-view revenue increases. Very short-sighted.

It appears to be in the process of being phased out. No experience for it anymore on the non-mobile site.

I like your ideas, but WN appears to have abandoned the leveling mechanism. At the current rate, I'll be level 8 before any positive changes are made.

Communication would be great, and new chapters would be greater. Lady Cultivator is a very enjoyable novel, but nothing for a month is really poor customer service. It's not like the translators are in secluded cultivation, they all have the necessary electronics, so status updates should be easy and frequent.
If the current translators on Lady Cultivator, Once Upon A Time, There Was A Spirit Sword Mountain, Dominating Sword Immortal, and I'm sure, many others can't deliver chapters, then Qidian should install ones who can. This is big business, not a cottage industry.

I subscribe to three novels that appear to have been abandoned, i.e., no new chapters for over a month, and no communication from the translation teams. These are Dominating Sword Immortal, Lady Cultivator, and Once Upon A Time, There Was A Spirit Sword Mountain.

Is there any plan/chance that new teams will be assigned to these novels? They can't maintain interest or popularity if there's no progress, and the lack of feedback from current translation teams cripples readers morale.

I encourage Qidian/Webnovel to assign new personnel if the current ones can't cope, so these novels can return to the limelight, and get those coins spending again.

Ancient_ Level seven gets nothing more than level five. It is irrelevant and soon consigned to the dustbin of history.

Yume97 I can tell you it's 50k from 7 to 8, and if there's any extra pops from 6 to 7, they've hidden them with extreme thoroughness.

I did too, jazdaz. The level system development seems to have been abandoned. After the whole 'Five is the New Six' uplift initiative, all of the staff were sent off for reeducation.
