Regarding bullet points 1&2, it's honestly a tricky situation. IMHO, they have been giving too much free SS from which a lot of readers had exhaustively benefitted. One could just stock up free SS to "purchase" Privilege (up to 1300 SS, no problem), which was really at cross purposes with the initial point of the service.
And to put it really bluntly, and I know I may sound snooty and get flamed by saying this, but anyway, here goes...
Privilege, as the name suggests, has always been aimed for the privileged ones, or as per everyone else's term here; the whales. If one is privileged enough to be able to purchase the service, then one is privileged enough to afford the coins in order to unlock those chapters.
But, in a way, I think that the removal of bonus coins is a good thing for paying readers. Most paying readers will have to decrease the amount of novels that they can follow per month. Sucks? Maybe. A bit. But it also means paying readers would become even more selective with the novels they're picking up, which will lead to a competition (a healthy one I hope?) between the contracted authors (maybe translators too? not sure), which would only mean better quality reads for paying readers. After all, who would want to spend their purchased coins on mediocre quality novels? I certainly wouldn't. So, authors couldn't afford spewing mediocre quality novels like before anymore.
Just my 2 cents.
