Na,, i just read at NU,,, try ask the translator or someone who read at China Qidian. Ah,, thats why u ask here... Wait,, someone with more knowledge will answer ur question?

Author's release rate is 1/day, it was 2/day once but he reduced it a few months ago. It is unknown whether he will increase it again if the English translation catches up.

Rtw: 1/2 chapter per day, I guess. Reason for the guess: https://lnmtl.com/novel/release-that-witch <-- Machine translation and up to date (current chapter is 1042). Everyday there is atleast one or two new chapter on lnmtl.
With the current speed and the mass release events, we will most likely catch up.

      General:
Most of the time chinese authors release 1-3 chapters per day, of course with a few exceptions who release weekly chapters but write longer chapters.

People there usually read chapters during their lunch break or on the train and therefore these short chapters are perfect for them.

The release rate of translator is often times slower than the release rate of authors, beside the ones who gave up their novel, started a second one or have a writing blockade. As an example the author of Absolute Choice started a new novel, because AC wasn't well liked in China. Therefore he releases AC chapters only if he has enough time left.

So if the author stays focused on his novel, receives enough money and doesn't get burn out, you can be sure that you will never have to wait for the author but for the translator. :P

      Hope that helped a bit.

GodBrandy I was writing a long answer and then press reply, but no Qidian staff has to be always faster than me. ლ(ȍ!ȍლ)
