Stressless It is self-explanatory.
Becoming an editor
The idea of premium chapters is so that qidian could make profit. The original promise is that even though there are premium chpters, there is still free chpters, ONCE A DAY! That’s the original promise. But I have been noticing that the premium chapters keep on increasing. 10-20 chapters for premium is good, then they increase to 30-50 chapters. Which still makes sense, considering they have to profits to make. 100-200 premium chapters is just plain greedy. There’s no justification!
We cant keep quiet anymore. We must do something!
yanuar XD I'm not sure how that has anything to do with the current flow of the conversation XD
nagisa91 sorry for the late reply, but to edit it directly means to adjust it directly, with no comments/extra marks. For example, if you were given the sentence:
I is want to go fish
, to edit it directly, you would just replace that sentence with:
I am wanting to go fishing
, with no hint of the original mistakes in sight.
- Edited
I would just use I want to go fishing
... orI would like to go fishing
I'll put off editing when I'm more awake then, seeing as how I threw out an equally-awkward sentence :P
yanuar The thing is, they DO release one free chapter a day. And for certain novels with shorter chapters, they release two free chapters a day. They DON'T release a free chapter everytime they release premiums. Both are running on separate rates. Hope this clears things up. Free chapters have their own schedules having nothing to do with the premium chapters.
So there are 3 phase for editor test?
Look at the comment section, i'm interesting to be an editor so I'm gonna try to apply for editor, hope i can get accepted.
enna It's unlikely...the editor test result comes after 1 month and would not drag more than 2 months at most.
HeavenEarthSage It is not 3 phase more like 3 sections making up the whole test. Each section accounting for a portion of the marks that will be calculated as a total to see if you pass.
People who read many translations on this site should be aware that 'editors' are a lie. They don't exist.
@Nou I want to apply for the editor post, so what should I prepare in advance? I mean, is a resume needed? Also, should I create a discord/QQ/skype account in preparation for these tests? And what was the verdict about the test- are we supposed to just edit directly and send the changed document, or write our suggestions without changing the original text?
I also have queries about the job. It has been implied but I want to confirm that we can work from home.
Another very important question, do editors only work on a single novel or multiple novels? I mean, what kind of workload do they receive when they start out and what about when they gain more experience? I can't imagine earning a living from this job if the workload is less than five chapters a day....even five isn't adequate considering the money they pay. Please let me know as soon as you can.
iluvstorys I mean, is a resume needed
Once you email them, they'll send two documents. The editor test and a questionnaire that asks you about your experiences and your personal details.
iluvstorys Also, should I create a discord/QQ/skype account in preparation for these tests?
They ask for one of these accounts so that they can contact you outside of email in an informal manner.
iluvstorys And what was the verdict about the test- are we supposed to just edit directly and send the changed document, or write our suggestions without changing the original text?
You're given a document that you must edit. You send the edited document back to them with the questionaire.
iluvstorys Another very important question, do editors only work on a single novel or multiple novels?
They can choose. Although, I think you may have to start off with one novel to ensure that you aren't biting off more than you can chew.
iluvstorys I mean, what kind of workload do they receive when they start out and what about when they gain more experience?
You get paid on the number of chapters you edit, however, if you're the sole editor for a novel, you're responsible for ensuring there aren't a lack of edited chapters.

I guess if you reach a point where you're allowed to edit a ton of novels, you might be able to earn a living from it.
