I've always wanted to write my own novel but I can't really put my imagination into words. I want my protagonist to be OP but don't want the overall story to be stale, so writing in the protsgonist's POV is a no-no. And writing a story with a literal god as the protagonist seems boring in the long-run, that's when my mind sparked, 'Can't I just write it in the side-character's point of view?'. Since my protagonist would be a god, then couldn't he just become some sort of tool for the side characters so that they could become successful or whatnot? Like some sort of mentor or whatever that helps the protagonist overcome a setback. I haven't read nor do I know any novels that portray the story that way so I don't know if my plan is plausible or not. What are your thoughts?

Azraeeeel Sherlock Holmes' Novels were written using Dr. Watson's POV. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author, chose this method to keep suspense.

Azraeeeel Plausible. From the side characters’ views would be greatly be more interesting than an OP protagonist since that’s been overdone and abused already. Seeing how the side characters use the OP protagonist also sounds like a nice twist.

Azraeeeel Instead of that, I would suggest writing from the pov of one of the op persons subordinates, and they have to "fight" literally and schemingly to receive the higher standing/privileges as it would make it good in the long run. No offense, but op stories always r, or turn into poo. Only exceptions really are if its noy writing, ex a animation. Of course u could make it they progress quickly etc. but Im just imagining as in one of the many (yes theres good 1d but saying vast majority) bad fan fics out there when I tried them.

Azraeeeel break out a chapter and write on the specific side character pov. It breaks the monotonous ranting of the MC all the time.

I did with mine but watch out for the time line though. Its good to have a paper and pen ready somewhere and write who would the side character be, what would their role and significance it impact in that chapter or chapters to come.

Believe me, it's fun and intriguing that way. I usually break from writing about the MC and jumps straight to the side characters that I have in my novel.

It can just be a group of side characters talking to each other about their fates, their thoughts about the MC, whatever comes into mind.

Have fun writing... Keep those spirit up.

    Cheers
