Novel chapters are uploaded into those pirated sites minutes after being updated in Inkstone. How does it happen? I can't believe it's done manually. So, it's a breach on security, harming authors' revenue, mostly.

ImMK Tbh, even if I did this and somehow, the pirate site removed my novel. It will just pop up on another pirate sites. They are endless and will continue growing. It's kind of sad to see your own work getting pirate to other site and at the same time, they are making money off it without your knowing.

I saw my work in one of russian translate(also pirate) site where they have to paid to read even though the translation was comparable to that of a google. I thought my novel is pretty shitty so they won't make any money with it but guess I was wrong. To fight against piracy is like fighting against an army of undead while I'm only an average person without a weapon in hand, that was how hard and impossible it would be.

MinxMean I thought that my story was trash too and I never imagined it being pirated.
It's really frustrating to know that someone's getting something from the work that you're hardly getting known for from the original site you published.

The aforementioned site doesn't have ads. What are they pirating for, if it doesn't even generate revenue? It's like a case of Robin Hood's syndrome.
    Just saying.

even found my novel translated into three different languages, and found on 20+ pirate sites. maybe if i stop writing and continue to file DMCA on these sites every single day, something might happen? (that being me not being an author anymore)

In the meantime, you can pad word count by adding in a line saying the original work is hosted on Webnovel in hopes that some readers may migrate away from the pirate sites. In the case of sites requiring membership fees, the readers likely do not know that they are reading pirated material.

Dude- I post on Royal road too and I have readers there asking me about seeing my work on the pirate sites. There are legit people who don't know that our stuff is being copied and pasted all around. It's worse bc you're just a number for them to increase views and make some ad revenue.

I too find my story small and kind of like this personal trash soup- but hello Russian translation and mass pirating.
