BaBe1982 Well, what can I say? Has it a limit date for the privilege (like, until the end of the week, of the month, or whatever?) I wouldn't pay forward for anything that doesn't have a limit date to be delivered to me. Because how can I file a complaint in the case it's not delivered on time?
I'd define it scam as well.

What is exactly the problem? Did you purchase Privilege service and are not getting what you're paying for?

If that's the case, please provide the following information:

  1. Book name
  2. Which date did you purchase the service?
  3. Which privilege tier did you purchase exactly?
  4. Was this the first time you purchase the service?
  5. If it wasn't, which tier did you purchase previously and when?

You may also want to read my explanation about how the Privilege service works here.

Not every machine site unreadable some site are quite good, here u pay money and u find chapters not translated up to stander or not edited 😅

I still don't understand what the issue was. Whatever it was, I hope it's been cleared?

And indeed you can't use fast pass on privilege chapters. Privilege, as the name suggests, has always been aimed for the privileged ones. If one is privileged enough to afford the service, then one is privileged enough to afford the coins in order to unlock those chapters.

Cantiara so you saying Webnovel is cater for the ones who can afford it? Well looks like I have to find another Way to read books. I’m not rich or afford to pay coins all the time. Thanks

No, that's not what I said.

Webnovel caters to all kinds of readers. There are readers who can't afford to purchase coins and there are readers who can.

For the group who can't afford to purchase coins, Webnovel gives 3 fast passes a day in order for this group to be able to read premium novels for free. Besides this option, non-premium novels, on which you don't need to spend money, are also available for this group.

But the privilege service was never meant for this group. It is meant for the other target group; those who can afford to purchase coins and isn't relying on fast passes to unlock premium chapters. If you still rely on fast passes to unlock chapters, it means that you're not the target group that this service caters to. As simple as that.

Cantiara I brought privilege for few books but still need coins to unlock to read. It makes no sense to divide readers. Webnovel should cater equally. It’s sad to see readers have been divided into two categories😔

BaBe1982 It's Pay-to-Win. It is called Privilege because it targets the Privileged readers, those who are willing to put in extra money to reward their favorite books/authors/translators. Just like fan-translators outside have Patreon through which they provide Advanced Chapters and whatnot. It works just like that. You are paying to read ahead of what is available to the masses, not what is being offered to the masses. It's fair game. If you have the ability to put in the resources (money), you will receive what you wish for (chapters). If not, then be a normal reader like the rest of us and read as the chapters are released to the public.

Was this your issue all along? As I said, if you purchase the service but still rely on fast passes to unlock the chapters that are behind its wall, then you're not the group this service is aimed at.

Airlines have their seats divided into first-class, business-class, and economy-class seats. Hotels also have different types of rooms with different price segments; standard room, deluxe room, up until a presidential suite. Toyota has manufactured Lexus and branded it as their luxury division. These are just a few examples of price segments division. Would you say that to them too?

But you know what, I may have worded my previous post poorly. It's not so much of a division between those who can and cannot afford to purchase the service. I think Rabbiticol said it better; it's about offering something extra to those who have the ability and are willing to put in the extra resource (money). Those who don't have the ability and/or unwilling to fork out the extra resource, then they won't get the extra perk either.

RABBITICOL makes no sense. The way I read it is a money making. I used to enjoy reading here during breaks, after work and anytime I have spare but Webnovel just got worse. That’s all✌🏼

BaBe1982 I said this before somewhere and I will say it again here: Webnovel is a business, not a charity. Reading for entertainment is a luxury for those who can afford it, not a basic right or necessity afforded to everyone.

I might not agree with some or all of Webnovel's business practices, but I do understand that authors need to earn something in return for the blood, sweat, and effort they put into writing the books you love. They have a life outside of this, and they have a family to feed as well. Who has time to write on a daily basis if they are not getting anything in return when they can just go work part-time somewhere else?

Moreover, Webnovel is already giving you access to three (Fast Passes) chapters on a daily basis, 10 if you are able to invite a friend, so I don't understand what more you want? Do you want them to hand to you everything on a platter, for free? If that is what you desire, well, tell me when you come across such a Utopia.
