The smile on my face froze as I stared at him without blinking. My mouth dropped. I could hear my own heartbeat as my eyes only became wider. Sudden dread and coldness took over. I was rendered speechless. I retreated a step.
There were three more people in the room, but they blurred in front of him.
“Hello Áine,” he said looking intently at me. He crossed his arms across his chest and lifted his head, confidence and coldness exuding from him.
