Just curious if webnovel has data on whether girls or boys are more likely to collect books.

As a male author, sometimes I've noticed that books with female leads tend to get more collections. There could be several reasons for this with some of them being.

a) There are less books with female leads
b) Women on average collects book more than men.
c) Men are more likely to discard books they aren't reading
d)There are less woman but they read more novels for more hours a day....

This is just something I'd find interesting to know as an author, and would loved to be filled in with some of the numbers.

You can find some of this stuff at Alexa.com, but you guys have more data than they do because you ask who are males and who are females. I know this data wouldn't be perfect, but it might help some male authors and female authors know their audience better...

Also, I think some people might just be curious about it...

    1. Open Webnovel on your Desktop/Laptop. Or just open it in your phone's browser and enable Show Desktop Site.
    2. Login to Webnovel.
    3. Click on the Create Link in the Header Navbar. It will open Inkstone in a new tab and you should be logged in.
    4. Do a CTRL + F if you are on PC, or click the 3 dots or whatever your phone browser uses to open the page settings, and click on Find in Page.
    5. Type: Gender

It will bring up the following stats:
    Reader Insights | Gender

Note: Unknown are the people who choose the Secrecy as their Gender in the Webnovel Profile Settings. They seem to be the majority out here.

Personally, I believe, there are just more female readers here on Webnovel.

RABBITICOL Depends on novel I guess? I don't know why but I feel like most of Unknown's are men? No real reason for that tho.

Personally I've got a romance novel and it looks like this:

Oh, what I meant to say was that Webnovel's majority user-base seems to be female, and not that most of the Unknown's are female. As for the Gender distribution, that will depend on the genre of the book. Mine was an Eastern Fantasy targeted at Male Audience that was dropped a long time ago (over a year, I think), so the stats aren't even going to be as accurate as they might be now. Right, the Unknowns can also be users that aren't even logged in.

Thanks for the information... I've seen this before, but wasn't sure about the unknown. It makes sense that they wouldn't have to log onto webnovel for original stories that aren't premium. Thanks for helping me out with finding that out.
