I published a super short story before, but now after nearly a year I got an idea for its continuation and plan to submit it for the spirity award. However, the contest only accepts new books.
After some editing I plan on using the already published material as a prologue to the main story I came up with.
Do I just delete the existing chapters and the book would no longer appear in the search? Or is it against the rules to use already existing materials in the contest?

Whycanti If I am not wrong, there is still no way to delete books as of the moment. But you can remove all of the chapters from it. As for being able to use it for the contest, you may want to discuss that with the content editors. Although there are some instances that they allowed for such thing, it is still better to get their consent about that matter.
