I've been using webnovel for a long time now under many different accounts (I keep forgetting my passwords). I recently posted my story and been consistent with updates. The views continue to grow. As of now it has 4k views but I'm kind of disheartened that over 4k views, there isn't a single comment not even a bad one so I don't really know if my story is good or bad @__@ like how legit are the views on webnovel?
I think you should modify your post before the admins notice it (it would be for sure marked as promotion outside the monthly thread and deleted)
As for the comments - I've noticed it too. Even if you have quite a good amount of collections and views rarely anyone comments on the chapters. I tried to change it by leaving a few comments to encourage people to do the same, but on this site readers are extremely quiet (even tho you can get +5exp for completing daily task and leaving the comments)

In all honesty, 4k views isn't a lot-- it's a good place to be for new novels, but it's not a place where people typically receive a lot of comments. When views start to go towards the 100k mark, that's when a few comments start coming in. Be patient & keep writing, and you'll get comments soon enough. :)

Mamelunka I guess it just went over my head since I'm guilty of mostly reading trending fics so the general idea of comments/total no. views was never clear to me.
Valence_Lao A tip that can help you get more readers is to do some review swaps with other authors in the monthly review/promotion threads (it's pinned). If you get 10 of them, your review rating is displayed, and readers tend to click on novels that have a rating displayed rather than novels that show "Not enough ratings".
The majority of readers are silent readers, so leaving an author note at the end of each chapter like "Please comment!" or "How do you feel about x character?" can also help.
