What if all events within the universe are building up to a singular main event that is so miraculous, so amazing it make all the suffering, all the horrific things that happen to people, all the injustice in the world a vehicle to create something so incomprehensibly beautiful that all of mankind would gladly throw themselves into the pits of hell for the sole purpose of this thing's existence?

What if this is all just some random chaotic accident and there is no rhyme or reason to any of it; the people who take, and kill, and subjugate are in the right and the is no karma, no justice, only the undying struggle to live, if only for a single day more?

What if all of humanity could unite and finally work together towards a better tomorrow? What would that look like?

What if we are on the verge of the end of it all, and things like global climate change, sociopathic leaders, nuclear holocaust, overpopulation, massive disruption in the food chain, the eruption of the supervolcano in Yellowstone, changes in the Earth's magnetic poles, a sudden tear in space-time, or any of the other numerous ways we could all die near instantly actually do destroy us?

What if there is such a thing as a soulmate, and against all the odds, out of the world's seven billion people, crossing mountains and rivers, continents and oceans, you are able to find your other half, and a perfect happiness that lasts the rest of your life?

What if love is nothing but a bunch of chemicals in the brain that drive humans to mate, and no matter how passionately you feel about someone, one day, you will inevitably come to resent them for insisting upon a permanent, monogamous relationship?

Forget asking about 'what if?' Do what makes you happy, and try not to get in the way of other people doing the same.

ImperfectInfinity for the "What if all of humanity could unite and finally work together towards a better tomorrow? What would that look like?"
I guess we'll all have a better world/country every body will be happy and contented. no one will suffer from hunger and the only thing we will feel is love and joy :)

Shivaniii The point is there are an infinite number of what if's, some stupid and petty, some thought provoking and profound, but in the end, they don't matter so long as you live how you want. To question yourself is natural, but to do it at every turn and let those questions rule you is foolish.

ImperfectInfinity Nah. Humanity will only unite with a common goal. You want an example. How do you think countries exist today. It's History, Religion, Benefits. And even now you can leave your country for another. So no Humanity will never truly unite.

ImperfectInfinity yeah I get your point but what's wrong with asking someone about their what if's like, it will still depend on their self if they'll let them rule their lives.

Shivaniii I wish I shared your optimism. I think it would be more like America today, where we have a large, heterogeneous country, with too many people wanting too many, often contradictory things, resulting in whoever shouts the loudest or coughs up the most money getting their way until the different factions get so fed up with the system it gets torn apart at the seams.

[unknown] No problem, just sharing the what if's I ruminate over from time to time, and the attitude I have towards them. Feel free to disagree.

ImperfectInfinity if love is a bunch of chemicals in the brain, then I'll take a bunch of doze of it for it is the best feeling in the world. - to be love by someone you also love :)

ImperfectInfinity I got a question for you. If we're gonna kill ourselves in the next century. Why is there still civilization, can't ee have more anarchy?

Gibbs well, that's how life goes in a life & death situation.
