I thank everyone and the many more participating.

I've noticed that sadly it turned into an argument because there isn't really a set value but averages instead.

I've also noticed that, although many write as a job or a way to earn, there are people who write because they enjoy it. Of course their motivation will dwindle at some point, but isn't it fine they even tried to write something and share it? There is no reason to put them down because they can't write as much or as fast.

In my case, I wish to lean to the write because I like it. Like some others, been thinking about it for a long time and yes, I won't be very competitive nor I really expect to get a contract, but didn't it feel great when one of the few people that read it sends a comments thanking you for it? It's one of the reasons I enjoy writing.

Thanks everyone for their opinions!

MotivatedSloth I know I'm not the one that asked the question on this tread, but thanks to you, I learned a lot, and I just published my first book! I actually thought that I would write a lot of chapters first, but what you said really made sense. I still write a lot, and I'll follow your and AI380's advice. I just came back here to thank you guys.
