this week I had notice that my book "the Dragon Emperor" do not get new view, collect or powerstone vote, when the chapters I had scheduled automatically update. Unlike the previous weeks, every time it update it always get a few collect, powerstone vote. Is Webnovel change something in the front page? algorithm change?? new update's visibility? does anyone have the same issue?
That tends to happen when the story has dropped off reader radars. The story slows down in this activity at a certain point.
On a technical note, the platform seems to have gone through a secret dev change that has impacted in reader comments and reviews. Like the blank moments page. So maybe it's also related to that some how.
checked your book and from my experience i will give you a tip, you only released 23 chapters; meaning that most potential readers are hesitant to come read your book because of the fact that most novel authors drop their book or go into an infinite hiatus around chapter 50 and chapter 100, those 2 are like chockpoints that kill 90 percent of the stories. go above atleast chapter 50 or sometimes 100 for a high chance to see an influx of readers.
tl:dr keep doing what you are doing and you will see more readers. (don't give up, even junk food tier novels have their dedicated audience).
heavenlyundead thanks, but that book of my is already finished, and only wait for the schedule to run it course, It's quite a short book, about the length of Harry Potter: Philosophy stone.
Another thing is promoting too. You may need to share out to social media like on twitter. Tbh, there really isn't much promoting opportunities here.

I thought Webnovel have a tap on the front page for the newly update of stories, that's where those collect and vote come from right?
