    ArchAngel_Michael The author practically dropped his own story. If I remember well, it's a habit of that author, Mad Snail, he rarely completes his novels. Generally, he starts writing a new story, gets bored and then drops it or rushes the ending and starts writing a new one without completing the previus one. In fact his readers are got angry with him for this reason.
    However, Tales of demons and gods has just 495 chapters for now.
    If you want a suggestion, never reading a novel of that author, you'll never see the ending.

        The release has been 1/moth for a long time now. If you want my advice, do research on the release rate or status of a series in its country of origin. The least amount of effort you should put in is going to novel updates to check the current status of the translation as it can be a sign of the series status in the country of origin. I learned this lesson late myself, but on top of checking novel updates I look up the series' foreign name and along with google translate plugin I find it's last update, even those 3rd party pirate sites can be an indicator of its release rate. Though one of the easiest ways is looking on a mtl site, they have release days and you can use that to find a pattern of some sort, the main issue with the last method is that not all series are on a mtl site to find this info.

          Here's my advice. Don't read Mad Snail's books. It will frustrate you till you spit blood. He will NEVER finish his stories, and when he "does", it's a half-assed ending. So, when you see his name, beware and stay away from them.

          Side note: I saw his book show up in the trial read and I was like "WHY ARE PEOPLE SUPPORTING IT, YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO BLUE BALL YOURSELF!!!"

            FunnyBuns I did check the release rate when I first started reading. But it was also at over 400 chapters so I didn't think much of it. Even then I still doesn't match the release time that it says
