Yeah you are right. Even though they have limited no. of novels they at least have fully translated those.

Somehow I realy hate webnovel now.. my fav cooking story I think they drop it.. 3 week not update.. why this sht happen to my "Gourmet food supplier" novel.. the first webnovel blacklist other free translator in novel update to get this novel.
And now they lift it like sht

Because the other translators have their own books to translate. Would love to see you work your job then also do someone else's at the same time. Reality just doesn't work that way.

As for letting some random person pick it up, all they have to do is contact webnovel and sign a translators agreement, sadly random Joe dickhead can't be bothered usually with going through the PROPER channels so as soon as they try to steal webnovels business they get shut down and lose the chance.

Darth_Xiane I'm sure Ren Woxing could pick many novels from here, but he was cheated by Qidian and even his work was stolen. Translators have their own concerns, and the main is to get some money for their work. Picking up some dropped novels HERE would not bring money, because QI won't pay

I think it was in yaoyueyi's first PSA, though one could always ask the staff through discord or try tagging webnovel offical here for more info, sadly while I recall the discussion I dont recall the specifics, just that the option is there for freelancers who want to have at specific titles that webnovel owns.
