So I was contracted last month. And because the contract takes time I was advised to start the premium by August. Now we are in mid July and my contract is been rejected more than five times just with a simple reason saying it is unclear. I am getting fed up of it.
It is too troublesome. You are also expected to write chapters daily and also expected to send the contract again and again because it is unclear to you.
I am super disappointed with webnovel.
Contract rejected again and again
Were you able to discuss this with your assigned editor? They should be able to provide a better explanation.
Veronica8 she is busy. I got the last rejection email last Thursday and today is Wednesday.
Though she said she would be going through my contract today. I am almost done with this...
If they want to reject it shouldn't they not offer itself at the start.

Sally112425 For someone whose contract got rejected like 8 times I totally understand you.
I was so depressed and felt like a failure. As weird as that may sound lol. I couldn't even write for days. I was part of the first people who got contracted for WSA and the last person to get approved. Is like seeing all your mates graduate while you fail. Even the last contracted batch got theirs approved before me.
The sad thing is they will tell you your fault and once you fix it they magically find new faults. Like didn't you see it at first? Can't you just list them all at once? You have to waste money and time. I get it have to go through Legal, copyright department etc but if the person who preview don't know the requirements they want; no offense what is he doing there? It would save us money, time and our mental health.
I don't know if they want us to suffer first in order to value the contract or something.
Just want you to know; it's a normal thing for authors to go through before being contracted. Don't feel attack and have patience.
I know is hard; becuz I also gave up if not for my family who told me not to and the fact that I was participating in WSA i would have stopped and posted the book somewhere. I know WN doesn't lose anything if I don't sign but just wanted to you to see how bad it felt lol.
Sorry for the long rant; it just I have always wanted to get this out of chest hahaha.
Sorry if I offended anybody tho.
Chichii tx alot. It helps me. I completely understand. Even my editor she said she will get fired if she doesn't do her job. I was like isn't this your job. She is sweet thus I didn't wanted to attack her. Writing is my passion but I would love to earn from it as well. My Novel was contracted in June and they already made me wait one long month before going premium. I am writing five novels side by side and at this point I am like. Probably before my first novel gets contracted my other three novels will be ready to be contracted.
I thought webnovel would be a little different when I first spoke to the editor and all, at the end it's the same.
And you are completely right, even I am mentally stressed. It's like I have food in front of me but I can't eat it. It might sound weird but it's true. I really hate keeping works pending and this work is pending since a month.
Sally112425 it does seem strange.
Chichii Oh, no, that's not good. I feel you. I had a similar situation with a renown publisher years back. The reason for the change of heart was LGBTQ.
You're not a failure. It just means that Webnovel is missing out. And another option is yet to be available for you to take advantage of.
Failures are just missed opportunities and openings for different possibilities. Some times better.
Keep at it.
Sally112425 Not that many paying ones unfortunately.
Wattpad has great features but hard to get readers. You have to be a Wattpad Star to be on their paid program. It's not an easy thing to gain.
Royal Road, from my brief stint there, has a lot of Litrpg readers and robust review system. I'm not sure they offer contracts. You can add your PayPal to receive gift donations
Inkitt is great to try to network. The more The story is networked, higher chances it'll get published. Watch out for the spam.
Radish pays for romance stories, but they are picky. You could try them if your story fits their criteria.
I write to Tapread. They don't have a contract option, but the site is clean, easy to use and bare basic. I'm just out to build my audience at this stage.
Veronica8 thanks alot.
Sally112425 The best thing you can do is proofread your contract with the instruction pdf they give you. It's normal to get rejected many times. It's gotta be spot on, or they will send it back. And your editor isn't the one checking your contract. Make sure your name is EXACTLY as it appears on your ID down to the middle name and everything. And there are no typos in your information. Even when it's approved you will have to wait about a month for them to sign it.

Not many good paying ones. As bad as people make WN seems it's the only writing app which I know offer MGS.
And it has a big audience too. I think getting rejected 8 times I know a bit how the contract should go hahaha.
If you want I can assist you?
Sally112425 - I faced the same problem. I got the invitation for the contract two weeks ago and they rejected it five times. Every time there's a new problem. The last problem was similar as yours, as the contract looked blurry. My content editor helped me though and now I have successfully submitted the contract. All you have to do is sign your contract on hellosign. Trust me, it will sort out all the problems. At least it did for me.
Dan_Ryder I did everything.
Chichii tx alot it would really help me alot.
Nightsummer20 I hope it does for me as well. Who is your content editor?
Mine delayed this thing a week.
I also got a contract and wanted to ask some questions before I decide whether to accept or not, but no one is replying to me, neither via the emails they provided, zendesk and I dont know my content editor.
Ik theyre all busy but at this point, I might just not do it bc idk if they really dont see my emails or if theyre just ignoring it since I sent them a bunch of questions.
Did you just sign the contract without asking your content editor?
