In the past I had read and paid for 500 chapters of Mansion in the Apocalypse and then ended up dropping for other books. I just decided to come back to it and restart it only to find that chapters 40-85 are now locked. WT$ is this. Now I’m scared to look at the other books I’ve purchased chapters in just to find that WN decided to suddenly slap a price on previously free chapters.

Billiam2920 You never purchased chapter 40-85, and they had previously been unlocked. Webnovel re-locked earlier chapters of the translated novels a few months back, so now only Chapter 1-39 are free to read. You gotta pay for upward chapters.
RABBITICOL I realize that’s what they did, but it’s still a slimy business practice. Now that I want to go back and reread the book I suddenly have locked chapters 2 steps into the book and then I’m back to my already paid for chapters. The amount of chapters that I have to pay for directly influences my decisions on what books I read. It’s like if you go to a book store and buy a book then a couple months later somebody comes to you house, cuts out a 100 pages and then hands it back and says “here, I know you liked it cause you spent money on it so.... let’s do that again. Ya?”

I have these chapters blocked, too.. How can I unblock them? In general, I think to find another site from which I can read books... Unfortunately, this site does not suit me recently... Too many problems...Especially since I found a lot of cool stores on San Diego best offers where I can buy books at a very low price. Still, when you hold a book in your hands it's a completely different feeling) And other books that are not available in the store I can read online)
