I am a big fan of a number of Japanese light/web novels. If I had to say who my biggest inspiration was, it would absolutely be Mayamura (The writer of Overlord). The whole concept of the Evil overarching OP MC, the idea of world domination and writing from the perspective of demented characters who want nothing more than to see the world around them burn, those sorts of things. I was also heavily inspired by Fuse, the writer of "That time I was reincarnated as a slime", especially regarding the kingdom building aspects and the overwhelming ability system, as well as the whole "Monsters vs. Humans" thing. And finally, I was also heavily influenced by Tappei Nagatsuki, the writer of Re:Zero, both in terms of some of the abilities within my novel as well as the whole concept of putting characters through extreme psychological and physical suffering in order to promote their growth.

Jo_J Agree with you. I'm so sick of the CEO's typical story. Actually once I made a thread and asking opinion, what if someone writes a CEO story but not the typical story - not the young handsome smart irresistible CEO. But instead a dumb old CEO that you really want to kick off in real life :D But nobody response! Which means : not many people want to see something different :D

Wow,.. sorry to hear that Chinese novels give you such a bad impression with weak spoiled female leads.
But I have to say that's because you only read the Chinese web-novels stories.
Chinese novels written by Jin Yong, Liang Yusheng have great characters and strong female leads also. Actually I got my inspiration to write from Jin Yong - this author (passed away in 2018) gives a lot of influence in modern Chinese literature. Hongkong and China postal office even issued stamps to commemmorate him.
