Yes, from the very beginning, the bonus SS already had a expiry date.
My SS expire an entire day in advance (probably Time Zone difference), so it's like all the SS I gain by daily check-ins, What's Next, and power stone ratings expire not only everyday, but by 2x what it's supposed to. If only they didn't have to expire at all, or at least not all three of those ^ ways that I mentioned

Simply put before premium, the free spirit stones you get daily from check-in/voting and watching adds used to have a 90 day expiry timer, now they are called Bonus Spirit Stones and have a 30 day expiry timer so you will not be able to stockpile the bonus spirit stones beyond a month.
Spirit Stones that you buy will not expire and will only be used once the bonus spirit stones are fully used up.
