I got notification and made necessary changes like removing r-18 tag and all. Although my novel i havent even added expliciit mature content, then also it got removed. View reader informed me that they are not able to vote as well. Power stone is showing zero.

I have checked with chat support and they told it will take week due to some audit concerns pertaining to mature contents. In email they told me to check with editor on current status.
Any idea how can i check with editor?

But i just searched and saw that there are many r-18, erotic tagged novels still there.

Are they targeting non contracted novels only?

        And yes, though they say it is general, it seems that for now, it is non-contracted novels that are being targetted. What pisses me off is the fact that there had been NO restriction on mature content, so why now?

        It should be told that "No more R18 content. Please remove all". Though we were warned about it, we were also only advised to take off the R18 tag AND make sure the cover isn't explicit. My novel will have R18 moments, but so far, it's just been R16. It's not a smut novel, and those moments are just normal things in the present time.

        Who knows what goes on the Hearts of Man?

            Is WN performing content moderation now? :eyes: :pray: I'm kind of worried about BL stories now.

              No idea. They're pretty vague about what exactly is being reviewed, though we were warned about explicit content. To remove suggestive covers and R18 tags to avoid being 'picked on'.

              I did that, but still got picked on. Darn it.

                      PsyberRose I think that what might happen is that apple iOS might remove the Webnovel application from their store.
                      I think this is temporary and will be resolved when the review is over, but I wish Webnovel explained things clearly so there wouldn't be so much confusion.

                          I'd rather this content be hidden than webnovel app be removed. Lmao

                          I agree with that bit. Maybe even Webnovel didn't know fully what was going to happen? (Giving the benefit of doubt).

                          Though seriously ... choosing random novels, even those without 'sexy' and 'explicit' covers is rather funny, considering all you need to do is search smut / R18 / etc and a whole load of stuff comes out. Of course, those are the contracted ones. /heh

                              I've inadvertently seen many things at another site considered banned materials. They're hardcore. The stuff uploaded to WN is mostly tame, give or take a few covers of chicks with bazooka boobs about to fly out of bikinis to whack some poor sucker in the face.

                                Nah, not banned. It just got locked while it went under review.

                                It's back now, after being 'offline' for two days.

                                Just confused when it happened and there were just too many uncertainties about what exactly was happening and what they were reviewing. Rumours were going around to even say that 'questionable material' to be R18 stuff but it was clarified in discord that it wasn't ... so long as it doesn't involve underage sex and incest. Those are banned.

                                All is good now for me.
