I know. But if you are an original writer that writes on the fly. I'm sorry to tell you that sometimes it is tough. Maybe you won't feel it because you are young, energetic, never sick, plenty of positive vibes etc. Some people can even get the timing wrong and accidentally post 2 chapters within the wrong timing too.

I just want to point out if you miss a 'single' day of the month, you fail is an unfair system.

Yup, unless u have a completed story already then you can stock it up.

Unless you are a full time writer, it kinda hard to do it for four months. Remember if you miss only 1 time each time, you will lose 98% of all your efforts.

I do know the system. Having signed a chinese contract and webnovel. The chinese contract is much better and easier.

Just pointing out that it is harsh for new writers that took the exclusive contract for webnovel. In the end, they will lose all their rights to webnovel, while earning almost nothing.

I also do know that writers like Tinalynge is successful but this system will encourage cheating.

Have you ever wondered why most translated stories here only last four months and then are dropped? And why some chapters are cut into 3 parts to monetize it?

I know it is profitable for some countries to do so and it has become a business.

I'm just trying to be the devil advocate here so that fellow writers don't believe that everything is this easy.

Yeah totally agree with you that it will not be easy to update every day. Not knowing if you will get sick or the mental health to write was okay. It was for the other ones to decide knowing now the truth about it.

Yup, you never know when writer block is coming, mental issues like families, other issues will happen. No one can really predict the future...or emergencies.

Mel_Aniv I get a contract for my second book, I haven't signed yet, I'm planning to have my first one also contracted. Should I use the email they used to contact me for the contrat to ask them to see if my first book can get contracted or not?

You can send message to the content editor on chat button on chat editors on inkstone. They can reply immediately if they are online.

And for those who have signed a contract and waiting for verification. Please make sure not to change the genre or your contract might fail. Just an info.

Nickaido No. I believe that is his personal problem. I have never had such an issue. I can use both app and the laptop to write my chapters; you just have to be careful that you have already updated it on the app (go out properly) and save so that it syncs.

Mel_Aniv After I contacted the editors, one of them sent me a link towards a page where I filled some things before sending it. I'm waiting for confirmation of whether my book can get contracted or not. Tell me usually how long doesn't take to receive confirmation message or a message saying that your book can't get contracted?

Avidfan I wasn't saying it was easy, but I've heard of authors slowing down their release rate prior to contact approval to stock chapters for the MGS. I think that was when the old MGS was more favorable though. 4 months is a lot of pressure, but with some planning and being careful, it's not impossible if $6.5 per chapter is worth the stress once all things are considered.
And not gonna lie, but I think that's a pretty pathetic amount since I don't know anyone who can write fast enough to get my country's minimum wage at that rate. And with a contract that pays for daily contributions, it most certainly is a job rather than a hobby at that point.
It's good to state the facts, but it shouldn't be portrayed as an insurmountable task since this is still a viable career option for some people.

Anyways, I would recommend any writer trying to get MGS to schedule their releases since Webnovel does have server outages and internet providers can also be unreliable. Even if illness doesn't strike or if you can manage to power through it regardless, other factors might fail, so any buffer time can be the difference between $0 and $200.

MGS is good if you can stock pile and release to the requirement. If you can't, premium is the other option for funds.

Alternatively you can just contract for free love and gifts. There are options that depends on what you want to earn/get from Webnovel with your story.

It would usually take days or a week. And if still no news, maybe they didn't see it was mature yet. I also wanted to make my other book contracted and was messaging them for four times and it only resulted for the editors to be pissed off on me. Wait for their response and maybe they will reply. Or not, it depends on them.
