There is something like this. It's only available for contracted authors though.
Webnovel, please, I beg you. Give us bold and italic font.
I second this. It somehow makes the stories seem emotionless. It's not right to just give this feature to contracted authors only because these two are basically all authors' necessities.
Overusing them would ruin the flow of the reading, especially bold. But giving the feature to those who find it useful doesn't sound bad. I use 'your-thoughts-here' for thoughts.
PLEASE! It makes the tone of the story seem so bland. I had to go on a site that changes the regular text to italics, and even then those words aren't counted in the word count.
Yes please!
Also, while you are at it, please make Inkstone editor respect double line breaks.
Many writers use an empty line before a new paragraph as a scene break. Or for a better reading experience. Or sometimes to give a dramatic effect. I'm certain 99% of times it's intentional. Why does the editor have to strip it away?
THIS! We definitely need this!
I was once a writer on Wattpad and even basic, non-contract users have access to bolds, italics, and other cool text features. As someone who writes with a lot of non-English words, I use a lot of italics in my documents. So it was so sad seeing it not available here.
I wish Webnovel could, at least, implement something like this to ALL writers. It will bring the words out more in stories and will show which part is important to the plot.
I'm hoping, but not counting my chickens. This is a two-year-old question. It's already available to contract author books, but not stable enough for release across the masses. The company has other priorities it seems.
I suggest using markdown code syntax to symbolize the formatting since it's a standard everyone is familiar with. Especially everyone using this forum.
