It really depends. The rule of thumb used to be that 1/30 views are real on WN, but lately it seems like their self botting systems for authors are not as crazy. The platform itself went from 20-30 million visitors per month down to 10 million which can be attributed to removing the bots. Before the 1/30 rule, it used to be that you were guaranteed at least 700-1k views per chapter released no matter what. (This was indeed tested out by many different authors).
Now, I would say that every time the screen moves, it counts as a view so one chapter read by a user who scrolls down 7-8 times will be counted that many views. That makes it harder than estimating the 1/30 views because you could have just needed to divide total views by 30, but now at least it is somewhat more realistic from what I have personally found for myself.
In general, you should care about these things in the following order from least to most:
Views-> Collections-> Valid Reads (Can be seen within the inkstone dashboard under the novel of your choosing if you are writing more than 1 at a time)
It has not been verified lately, but it seems that they also bot collections but at a much slower pace compared to views and you may have personally realized that you have some novels in your library that you didn't add. (Which is what a collection counts as)
So all in all, I would just refrain from reading your own novel to increase the numbers since that is not fair to you as an author looking for real data about how your novel is doing but to also know that not all views equal per reader or chapter amount read. Do not let it discourage you since this platform is still the biggest web novel based platform other than the truly monstrous ones such as Wattpad. Also keep in mind that WN is owned by QI and originally was not a platform that needed original novels to keep audience retention high for the website. It was originally a hub for translated novels to expose translated novels to the west and majority of the website traffic is due to said translated novels even now with many popular originals making appearances.
Hope this helps,
