If you had to translate thousand chapters of Chinese novels to English without butchering the said novel, you’d understand that it isn’t easy. Now let me ask you, do you work for free?
Qidian is a company that has ‘bills’ to pay: employees, authors/translators/editors, servers, and developers that has to get paid for its services keep running. Qidian doesn’t run a charity work with an army of volunteers, it’s a small business under a bigger parent company. Every company has a purpose and it’s to make money, if it doesn’t make any money then it’s a failure of a company. If it cannot make ‘profit’ then it cannot expand, and further development will be halted. Is that what you complainers want? Not to mention that to some people this is their source of livelihood, and yet for us it’s just our source of entertainment. Again, do you work for free? Also there are many translated novels that are free on here and on other websites, so you are not really forced to pay for anything.
I understand the frustration with seeing your Stones go down quickly due to the increased rate based on novel length but in the first place most of us received a lot of bonus(free) stones without paying a dime - it’s just going back to them. If I ever run out of Stones, then I can just go read another novel from the beginning while I accumulate more stones.
As far as I can tell the Premium system is in its infancy, so there will be changes still to come. If there’s ever a time you want to voice out a feedback or opinion, never do so in a whining and condescending way because there’s no one who wants to hear that and you’re just asking for others to flame you. If you have a better idea for the Premium system, then submit a feedback to Qidian. Be specific and concise with your ideas, and give examples to help them understand since there will be a language barrier. You never know, your next idea might be implemented/added.
Stay positive. 👍🏻
