Maybe go for other Chinese Novels at other sites, some Japanese Light Novels from YP or JN or just re read some good ‘old’ Chinese completed books like Legend of the Condor Heroes, Coiling Dragon, I Shall Seal The Heavens and others :)

Or I could just go and watch some anime xD

Yeah, after a few months, the cost would be so high that the cost of a completed Jap LN in J-Novel would be more worth it than the chapters here.

Nah. What will happen next is those who didn't buy the premium will get axed next all their SS will get expired leaving the free users either read from aggregator sites or pay the premium.

Maybe next year all the popular novel will be behind paywall that Qidian International will be a premium site just like the Original.

I tell you a little secret.
QIdian now trying to make a clear barrier for premium novel based on power stones, chapters count, traffic novel, review etc to make every novel become premium. About popular novel that not premium they try to make them premium in the future so they not lose all readers. And for premium for free they will not provide it anymore if that barriers come to a fixed one such as now only novel with 300+ chapters can get premium, in future maybe reduce to 200 or 100 chapters. After archive those barriers you could say bye bye qi

The moment they make most of the popular novels go premium they will loose readership for those novels because it's hard to get a lot of spirit stones and also for those of us in countries which do not really use the credit card system we will loose out

They're trying to change our perception. People always tend to undervalue what they had... most readers still think free chapters are the norm, when in truth it's not. When the amount of readers are not small yet not yet to point of maturity, it's the best time to train their minds to slowly think what you want them to, cause if they do it right... these amount of readers will become the minority in the future(for those who remain), they would then spread the new perception to the new readers. They will go for it inch by inch, then by time... we won't realize it was already a mile.

Yeah It's still fresh to me too... Because of them, we have this site now. They want to share and now, they could stop doing it cause they've done a good job already... now we could read many books more and at a faster rate. They could let the big guys handle the rest. Now we pay, now we critic. No holds barred for these novels belong to them. In the past fan translations, I could remember some of them making really good work in translating, but also other mtl like translations. Others are even doing it for money while being disguised as for bonus chapters. We can't generalized them all because they have their differences but we can't deny the fact that we're reading it for free so we can only feel grateful. For me though, I don't care from what church or from which prophet... I only want to read the words of Gods, donating or paying for the church doesn't matter as long as they can interpret it well. Otherwise I can only consider it as blasphemy.

What happens is... life goes on. The minority (People who complain) keep complaining and the rest of us (The majority) keep supporting and reading. That's what happens in a few months.

What will happen is we will purchase SS when we run out while whiners can whine all they want.

As long as they free the chapters that became premium after a certain amount of time I see no problem with the system. If these chapters remain premium permanatly then its a huge problem because they will lose readers really fast and will be making a loss because the comercial videos free users used to watch gave them money and now this money is gone. So what if more people buy ss, the amount of people who will buy them will be less then 20% and those people will see that they are wasting too much money and will stop buying ss eventually.. basically, just put a timer on prem chapters (novels) and everything is good and well.
