Why does Dominating Sword Immortal, Fishing the Myriad Heavens and many other novels not have any update for all most year or more. If Webnovel is going to pick up a novel, the why the hell is there no updates, if webnovel in not going to translate it then why the hell did they even pick it up in the first place, it was better to leave it to the website that translated. At least then we would still be able to read them instead of wasting our time and resource here.
EXACTLY so many novels recently have stopped updating for months - many that I was in the middle of so why start them. I paid at trial read for them to continue not to lose my money on a book that never finishes. If they don't continue they should at least refund or provide a notice not just never update again.
Webnovel did not pick up any of these from a website, these are titles OWNED by webnovel or their parent qidian specifically. Other websites translating them are stealing from this company. So no, them stopping their translations is not because of webnovel pickup... its webnovel slapping the third party site with a cease and desist lawsuit.
Books get dropped because what originally was paid for started to get freeloaded. While it is troublesome that it happens, refunds are not really something one can expect. You pay per chapter, it would be different if you footed the bill for the full translation but you're not. It'd be like buying into a new series of comics only to have marvel or dc drop the line and asking for a refund on the issues you already bought and possess. You got what you paid for. You are not owed a damn thing because sales aren't high enough to continue the series.
Do agree about the notice though, but from what I've experienced, most translators DO put into their final chapter release or close to it (whenever they get the order to drop) a note about the books discontinuation. Most just miss it, especially website readers who gripe and bitch about wanting to turn off comments/authors thoughts between chapters... where said notice is usually put.

Do you have any idea what copyright is? If you want a novel fully translated, you are free to pay for the translator, editor, proofreader, author's copyright fee, WN fee etc yourself. Then those novels that you want to read so much won't be forced to require of standard capitalism rules alone.
In other words, its pretty simple. I know you are not an author yourself, but you can ask around how does original authors feel when someone just takes their novels and translate them to Spanish, Russian or other languages. It's no different from stealing, and you are now bitching about someone taking a stance about it? The fact that in the past no one care doesn't mean you are in any way or form entitled to system of reading entirely based of fcking theft.

So what hell is Webnovel doing, now they got their bloody book back and can officially translate the novel but guess what they FUCKING don't, even thought the people are willing to pay for the translation. You call that taking a stand or do you have some mental issues. People take a stand when they want to do something right, but what's going on here, even though we are will to pay for the translation they aren't willing to translation it, that is by no means doing something right. The fact that its translation is not continued simply means that you are wrong on this point. If people were willing to pay, it would continue. It's that simple. The fact that you need to get personal and call me stuff only shows how little you can bring to the discussion outside of petty insults.
But guess what? Insulting someone here the way you did only show how limited you are, instead of actually making me mad/sad/anything you wanted to achieve. Maybe fcking around like that works in the sandbox you spend your time in, but here we are at least trying to be a tiny bit more mature.

Lonelytree I am really sorry for making a fuss here, it just that there are some novel I have been reading for a long time and all of a sudden their are no more updates and chances are some of these novels are gone for good.
