I have a book I stopped writing and I was wondering how you delete it. Surely they wont force you to keep them because it would be incredibly inefficient cost wise to keep every book.

Yet they do. There's currently no way to remove a book from your inkstone workspace. You CAN remove all the chapters and change the book text/cover to reflect its current status as a non book.
EventualUpdate it's like a pimple blemish on your face. You won't be able to delete them. So plan properly unless you wanna be another bugger with 20 novels written, none completed.
