@yaoyueyi does Serialising means that novel views won't increase or something I want to know about it
Need help
Dangerous_Ruler Serializing means ongoing novel! i.e. you're currently publishing it.
They says that when your novel reached 4k words you can find a dedicated content editor to help us in our work.
And i need one as i already published 4K words. please help me out.
TrixiaBlade Congratulations! You published the first chapters of your first novel on Webnovel.
Now:
- You need to wait for your novel to go through the vetting process, which usually takes 4 business days. Only after that your novel will both:
1- Show up in your profile
2- Have the VOTE button unlocked, so your readers can vote with Power Stones for your novel. It will allow your novel to rank.
Oops. Your novel will only rank after 15k words published AND 10 reviews. So if you need reviews, go to the Monthly Review Swap Thread on this forum and start swapping reviews. Or wait for them to come naturally.
Don't ever promote shamelessly your novel outside the monthly thread. Be polite, don't spam, and don't get banned.
Now, the Content Editor.
Usually they will keep track of your novel stats and if they think your novel is good enough for a contract, you will receive a message in your Inkstone inbox. If you agree with the contract, just follow the instructions and proceed to sign up with Webnovel. They will send contact information so you can have your questions about the contract adressed.
After it, you have a Content Editor assigned to your novel.
Content Editors DON'T edit your novel, they act more like managers that will help you with some advice and publishing-related questions and smooth your journey while publishing a novel here.
Well, I pasted this text here because it might be useful for you. The vetting process is automatic and it doesn't give you an editor. You just wait.
Keep updating, btw.
SrtaA that'a really helpful.. thank you
Ah that... Notification says that my novel got recommend on the 'new novel block of unique picks'.
What is that can you tell me please?
TrixiaBlade You got a feature That's quite rare and should be celebrated.
Being featured is being advertised.
SpilledInk i think my system stopped working. hahaha can you explain this..
Is Inkstone a different platform?
Mayemura No. Inkstone is just the editor of Webnovel. When you log into Webnovel, you automatically log into inkstone.
Lord_YuanGe Thank you

Mayemura If you published it more than two months ago, has a good and catchy plot, good stability of updates, a good cover with a good title, and managed to get at least an average amount of readers per view, perhaps it's a matter of time. Even if your grammar is not perfect, you stand a chance.
But, while you didn't grab a contract, you can edit your work, change cover and title, republish and try again. Sometimes not being contracted is a chance you have to make it better and start anew, getting more readers and traction from start. The first 30 days of your novel and how it performs it's vital on Webnovel.
Think about it.
You can file for their pilot program, for instance, with new novels (republishing yours). It helps with visibility.
Mayemura Redirect any readers you have for the new one. Delete all chapters, change the title of the old novel for 'deleted', and start a new novel.
Novels with daily updates make a better impression. If you can, pay for a cool cover. If you can't, find suiting images online (credit the author on your synopsis), and put on the title with a fancy YET legible font. Share on your social network, just try not to spam.
Hope it helps.
