                    Sara_Wilcox I know that there’s been a lot of new writers joining our Webnovel community lately, but the flood of SHAMEFUL self-promoting is unbearable lately. The moderators have better things to do with their time than tell people to read the rules. Why would you NOT as soon as you join something new? It’s idiotic to me, but apparently this needed to be said.

                    READ THE RULES! It’s common sense, and if you ignore them, or play stupid(seen others get chewed out, but still SHAMEFULLY post): you will get chewed out by the veteran authors, then blocked by moderators. Continued abuse will bring you negative reviews by the fore-mentioned vets.

                    The difference between SHAMELESS and SHAMEFUL promoting(as I was told), is:

                    Shameless is Offering your works to those ASKING. Your works need to fit the criteria of the reader’s request, or Keep It in the MONTHLY promotion and swap threads.

                    SHAMEFUL(as in you Should be filled with shame), is creating threads for individual review swaps, posting in thread requests that have Nothing to do with your work(s), and requesting editors/proofreaders with your link attached.

                    If you are looking for editors/proofreaders, then you should post your discord and/or email to discuss it privately. I have literally seen one author do it the correct way. If you are looking for FREE proofreaders, good luck with that. You’d have better luck requesting your friends and/or family members to help you(or readers). If you don’t have any readers yet, then I suggest the pilot reads programs that Webnovel does. This will give you a feel for the marketability of your novel as well.
