Biva Maybe it can also be interpreted like that. For example, your main character has had a solid goal from the start, which is to find the origin of the purpose of her existence in the world you created.
And as she travels from one place to another or from one city to another, she meets several new faces with unique personalities and backgrounds. So that it makes the reader enjoy the adventure that your main character is going through.
Now, it's up to you whether you're going to put all that in 10 chapters or slow it down in 30 chapters. Of course, it's all a matter of taste, and I happen to prefer stories with a slow plot.
