    Honestly just looks like a kids argument... how can you take it seriously? Both sides throwing underhanded comments at each other. If you don't like them personally then either block/mute them or leave the discord

      License_to_Offend Do you have no sense of humor? I was there at the time and everyone was joking around because of the Sahara desert thing. I can take screenshots out of context and make them look bad. Creating stupid drama for nothing. I know people are bored, but still...

      About the contract thing, people have asked about it 20 times in the week I've been there. It's not hard to find a discussion about it, some people got annoyed when the question got brought up again without looking for the previous discussions. I didn't care much about it honestly.

      But calling joking around misogyny and trying to start drama is pathetic.

        This drama was not so good.... No Inspiration....

          Instead of pointing out the right and wrong here, how about we look at the real problem at hand?

          It is all fun and games until an author drops his/her novel because of things like this.

          You may think this is ridiculous, but there are authors out there who lose motivation to write because of shit-talk, especially when the shit-talker is a fellow author.

          I was in that discord since the very beginning and stayed there for a month before leaving due to silly things like this.

          When I was there, every author there joked around, but in a good way that allowed us to connect. And during my time there, my experience with Anj was, well, different than what these authors seem to be experiencing.

          Before I left, I noticed that the joking there would usually turn to real shit-talk a few minutes later, hence the problem here right now.

          It is fine to joke around, but there is a limit.

          Additionally, all of the authors listed here are new to the server, so they don’t know the atmosphere nor the people, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they took everything seriously.

            BaiSiwa I thought U were kicked by Mod because your Discord nickname wasn't exactly the same as your Author's name ;) which is the rule of the Author's Server.

                Ugh, the server was for discussion to be better writers and yet.....

                Actually. That ‘rule’ has been there since the start, but the mod didn’t care about it until people started coming in. I never used my pen name in that discord, even changing it from left to right, since the beginning for a whole month.

                And when the mod wanted to enforce this rule that has been ignored since the start, I decided to leave, so I didn’t change my name on purpose.

                P.S I’m still in the server, so I wasn’t kicked.

                  I think that people didn’t get the point here. It is not the fight itself, it is what was said in it. Sure, some people took it as nothing but shittalk, but obviously someone was offended at the things that were said.

                  It is no secret that since a few weeks ago, when the server jumped from 30 users to 90 that things started going out of control. I’m also barely around there anymore because writing and novels simply aren’t discussed.

                  What Bai said is right. In the start, our shittalk involved no offenses like that, it was pure banter. Now all I see is cursing and slander that might be shittalk, sure, but it is easy for someone to take it personally. Just look at this thread.

                  People need to chill, the Discord Server is not their home, you don’t really know how the people in there will react to what you say.

                    shelwyn Is there another Cheesecake author here? I haven't joined that Discord yet because I don't have an account and I am too lazy to create one. I just coincidentally saw this while brushing through the forums. The photos are not loading on my end so I can't see anything. Anyway, I'm joining it now to see what's the deal. :))
