So I just started my sci-fi fantasy novel days ago and some people has already told me that the story is too heavy because of the science. Yes, indeed, I do name the planets and the main star with metals, and war between planets, with different energy in universe (like dark energy, light energy, etc).
I am hoping a true review if you read this, and tell me, is it hard to understand the science inside the story?

arrinknight For a long time, the sci-fi genre has been a difficult topic for a novel. With all of the terms that are foreign to ordinary readers, it is, of course, no wonder that they say that your novel is heavy, especially if you combine sci-fi with fantasy... yes, it is the ideal combination to make the reader's head hurt, and when I just imagined it, I was on the verge of throwing up right now.

I advise you to refrain from providing a large number of information dumps in the first few chapters. Instead, try to let the story flow for as long as possible so that you can explain things in stages.

Please don't introduce too many new characters in the first few chapters, like the first 20. Because I'm sure you're going to introduce a lot of your story settings and the system that will be used in your story, if I, as a reader, have to remember all of that and add characters and events that immediately appear at the beginning story, I'll just quit and get some fresh air outside.
