  • Hi im new could somebody pls answer my qustion ?

I'm interested in novel writing recently but i noticed people having mixed though when writing webnovels so could somebody answer my question? (sorry for bad English)
1.Qustion is a web novelist a good job?(is it job for example full or something like side job)( do they earn a lot or not much)(is it worth it even if you don't earn much)

2.How much does web novelist earn?

3.Single chapter of the web novel how many words does it usually need to have?

4.Do webnovlist have any form of obligations? (they have to update chapter 1 or 2 on specific time)

5.My novel had some extra information that don't fit well with story so i think about making them extras how exacly should i write them and is their is limit how many extras i can write ? (for example 1 mini extra after end of each chapter or similar that explayn some stuff)

6.What happens if my work accidental is a copy ?( i make exacly same scen like other writer did before me but i didn't know)

(I'm wondering if working as webnovelist is even worth it) sorry im annoying.

        I will try to answer the questions that i can.
        1) Webnovelist isn't a sucking job. It's more like a side business. If you wanna make money to earn a living, done expect it from WN cuz to earn that much money, you have to be Top 25 writer
        2) The earning depends if your readers like your novel. If they love it, you'll get high amount. If they hate it then no money.
        If you make and exclusive contract with WN, the share of profits is 50:50
        3) There is no limit of how much number of words. But, it must be at least 600. At starting, if it is 1000, then it's better.
        4) Novelist don't have any obligation other than if you are contracted. If they don't update in a regular manner, people won't read
        5) You can write how you wanna write but it must be enjoying the reader not boring them.
        6) If your work is a direct copy of a contracted author, if he files a case against you, then you are dead. You can take inspiration but you can never direct copy.
        7) You can start from 7 chaps/week. Then slow it down but the low end must be at least 3chaps/week. It's for reader to like your novel. There is no 'you must put this much chap' but 7 chap is great.
        8) If your work sucks the WN team won't guve you a contract. If you are contracted somehow and no one reads it, your contract my be terminated. WN gives contract if they think your work is worth it. Or you can ask for contract if they don't give you after so many chaps. But, it's their opinion to give you contract or not.!

            Hi, I really want to ask this question cause it has been bothering me really...

            Recently when I search for my novel on the search button, I can't find my power stones anymore and I really don't understand why and what is actually happening...

            This is actually my first book on webnovel and now I can't find my power stones anymore, it really did ruin my day and someone, please anybody should please tell me what going on and what I should do cause I really don't understand anything...
            Am really so sad and disappointed..

              Rainandstorm okay, so maybe I am not getting it correct but you meant that all of a sudden all of your powers tone toll has gone to zero, is that correct?
              The thing is, the count restarts after every Sunday, thus no matter whether you gained two or two hundred, by the end of the week, it'll turn to zero and start again.
              (Though the number of PS will help you in achievering good rank in the ranking list)
