      zswaleh Neverfire7 I challenge you two. Is the proper word for the cultivation stage progression called ranks? It just sounds weird......it wouldn't be called techniques or anything.....I feel like their must be a word for it that Er Gen or someone made up. What was it called in Stellar Transformations? Cause remember they had two different "ranks" one was the body stuff and the other was inner but they both had the same "ranks".

      What about calling it Cultivation Hierarchy? Instead of calling the collection of ranks as "ranks" we can say Cultivation Hierarchy of Library of Heavens path has such and such ranks based on such type of cultivation...

            Flaffy Cultivation hierarchy doesn't fit, I think because what's going on is the progression of ranks/ steps of cultivation. Hierarchy doesn't have the feel of progression to it.

            I think they're simply called 'Body cultivators' and 'Qi/ Ki/ Inner cultivators'. Or maybe 'System' or 'Structure'?

                Neverfire7 People progress through the hierarchy in the military all the time. They start out maybe a cadet who can at most assemble a gun then they become generals and crap. It fits.

                We could go with Cultivation System that sounds right, but "ranks" definitely didn't sound like the official name of it as a whole, individually sure.

                      Hmmm but Cultivation System seems to reek of things like "Body refining", "Qi refining", "Devils Path", "Starlight Refining", etc. They're just different ways of cultivating. Different systems. Like using the "Five Elements", "Blood Qi", or Yao/Mo/Ling/Shen methods.

                      Maybe instead of "Cultivation System", we go with "Cultivation Levels"?

                        Nou That could work my only thing with that is there are sometimes levels within those levels. Depending on the novel. Like you have the Houtian realm and then it has levels within that and it's literally called levels in some novels.
                        I do not under stand what you mean by reeks of those things, that is literally a way to cultivate, making it a technique or cultivation manual it's more specific on the way of cultivation than the system that it is. In certain worlds the system can be purely inner strength training that is not called qi or anything like that just power accumulated from magic power in the world. It might not even have a level, it might just be that they visualize something and poof it appears! The better you visualize the more power you have (I think you know the novels which I speak). Maybe calling it like a Power System? I want a word that describes all of the systems so that it can then be broken down further into those types of cultivation you speak.

                        It will be confusing to call the Whole of the Cultivation in that world as 'Ranks' Or 'Levels' and then go to the next novel and mention those ranks without first defining what it is. I am looking for a word that covers the the progression of cultivation.
                        I know there is a word for it. I just don't remember it. I have a feeling that it was mentioned by the guy who left behind his inheritance in Stellar Transformations. Because he had been to many worlds and I think he called it something specific.

                        I think it starts with an 'I'....maybe....

                        What if we called them "Path to Transcendence"? No that sounds weird...

                            Oddly enough, I've read Stellar Transformation back in the He-man days. I don't think I can remember that term either.

                            But in the meatime, do we want to call it Cultivation Stages? (Just throwing more and more suggestions out there until one sticks)

I will skim through once I get my tablet,(if I remember) cause I stopped reading stellar transformations after everything went white for him and the lady voice was explaining everything to him. So as soon as I open the ebook I should be close to the part where the dude talks to him, we shall find out what it is called.

                                    @Neverfire7 @zswaleh Remember to include the any spiritual planes in the novels as well because I think some of the novels have different cultivation stages in different planes.... I think it was Realms in Firmament(this might be the wrong one cause there were two novels that had the same premise except one was sickly young master in his previous life and had all the knowledge the other was an assasin that hated all the rich people and they end up killing him) where the dude crash landed in a fopish young dude from a different plane but still the same world? Never understood that so maybe that can be explained too?

                                    The cultivation in that novel was very confusing and half the time I was sure the Translator/Editor was incorrectly using the name of one stage to mention the other even though MC explained them as worlds apart but using same name. (Haven't read it in a while so I'm foggy and it might have been a different translation cause it wasn't QI)

                                            @Nou How does that sound to you Cultivation Realms of the novels? There is one Cultivation Realm that consists of the spiritual planes, and has specific Cultivation Paths and spiritual manuals etc.

                                                Flaffy it was the human emperor and an assassin one, don't remember the name though. so basically there are 3 of them, son of a general and all the original son were players and useless.

                                                    zswaleh No I never read Human Emperor, it was called something with Monarch, I remember cause the dude kept saying he was the son of so and so and he had a sickly body and then when he reincarnated he was in a coffin cause he farted at the sickly daughter of the king holy ritual, and then was flogged to death. And a fatty came and cried all over him, which cause him to reveal himself and he was all excited cause his new body could cultivate.

                                                    The other dude was a killer from the transcended place above that mortals don't necessarily know about, and after he killed these guys that took all the cultivation resources some big dudes came to kill him, and then he was in the body of some other dude in the mortal area and he had a fatty friend? No he had....2 friends and an annoying fiance? I think he was called Jang? Or maybe Fang? dude I suck at remembering. Anyhow I remember he had two friends cause he stole this thing from one of his friends house, yes! And he absorbed it into his body and he like absorbs all the precious items and his mind spits out stuff... omg I wonder what happened to the egg that was there... I need to read that cause I never found out if he hatched the egg....
