WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL This is one of the reasons why I like this app. Before, web novels were so scattered and platforms were so shoddy that It was impossible to treat any issue as legitimate. Even if you noticed something shady, there was no tangible authority to report to or any real sense of damage. The rules are now more defined. Hopefully us avid readers taking these issues seriously will give content creators and translators enough security to keep up the great work.

@WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL There should be a feature like "Turnitin" when uploading original works. This automatically calculates the percentage of plagiarism compared to all other works that have been uploaded and will let the author/ Webnovel know if a work has too much plagiarism. I think if it is over a certain percentage then the work should be immediately rejected or be unable to be uploaded, that would significantly reduce these instances of plagiarism and intellectual property theft.
Of course, I'm not sure how effective it would be when comparing works from Webnovel to other sites, but it would be a good start.

PurpleFate The idea is good but a lot of original authors upload their novels to other sites, too. Those people would get a 100% with that approach. They would need people manually checking that then

BlackStarDeceiver It is hard to say, who steal from whom. Contract language is hard to say. Both had their reasoning. It had been law domain.
We, the outsider, should not talk about this and wait whether those two parties really used law to judge or not. Who win and who wrong.

BlackStarDeceiver nothing against you, but some of the work here is even licensed by Amazon. WN/QI is releasing it here for free after they stole the translations from sites like WW (i just say Coiling Dragon where they even put Copyright Webnovel in it)

Sadly true, the chapters take 2 or 4 hours to be created, it still has to be edited, in my case I write in Portuguese, it has to be edited in Portuguese, then I move to English and I have to edit again to see if the meaning or the phrase passes the meaning that I had put in Portuguese. So add another hour or two doing this, take the total of 6 hours to create a chapter.
Does anyone know what it's like to post 6 chapters for three different stories in one day? It's crazy stuff! I had to put two stories in hiatus, because the writing was already getting bad, the characters had no more consistency and was still in chapter 10 and was already this mess.
I adore authors who can publish more than two chapters a day! Chapter of at least 2000 words.
Seriously I would cry if my work was copied, it takes so long, but someone will still profit from my sweat, awake dawn and back pain!
It's worse to be plagiarized, you're not earning anything on Qidian and any random person gets your job and rides a patreon on top .... Ui is a shot in the heart!
