freakmedic Maybe have him set up a patreon instead? Its something a lot of content creators favor for donations and sponsorship. Premium is Qidian's thing for their top original novels to encourage original creators.

OEM is good but it has been passed around some before here too in terms of translators. More chapters would definetly be a welcome surprise....
It is definitely a way to advertise your novel but if its not good enough you will lose a lot of readers from the backlash. I have seen so many bot accounts here its scary mostly for extra stones though so its more understandable.

I agree, the amount of lurkers is astounding many people just glance at a novel by pressing the read button on accident more than genuinely read the novel. Even if they do actually read the novel even less will comment on it.
Face_Smacking_Dao They are a business they will squeeze as hard as they can before the readers pop from the pressure.
Would love a translator for Murdering Heavens Edge. It has been left in limbo for too long and would be really well received with the community.
Face_Smacking_Dao I understand they are not as big when you look at the international site but the Chinese original Qidian is huge. This system is just so Qidian makes more money and can lead the readers on so they spend more and more. This is just my opinion, you can have whatever thoughts you want on if I'm wrong or not. Im only posting because I feel so strongly about some of these issues and want to raise awareness that the reader can have a voice and instigate change.
Tashady Umm you understand that many translators on WW email and talk to the authors? Most of the authors are totally happy with the promotion of their works in a different language and country. Qidian is not the authors though, they are the company that owns the rights to the books because the authors published with them.
GoodFellow Well said. Truly.
Zogarth1337 I totally agree. The sad part is Qidian is a publisher. They publish Chinese web novels that the authors' wrote. The quality is much better in Chinese which the authors are native in. The only problem here is that the novels are not even big enough in China to support being released in different languages like how Harry Potter is. Also the quality will never be perfect if the novel was not read in the language it was written in, thats why translating requires translators instead of people copying and pasting into google translate.
natto You can totally compare Qidian and Netflix, their business models are very similar and at the end of the day they are international businesses. Also if you start a comment with the saying "this is a waste of time" I will just think that your opinion, comment and thoughts are a waste of time.
NewCultivator Reverend Insanity is such a good novel and I love how you made the system opinion in it about Premium. It really fits.
I don't like premium but I'm too addicted to give up Qidian entirely. Luckily some good novels haven't become premium yet.
DiegoPedroso I feel you, the dark king is such a great novel and I enjoy some of Gu Xi's other works as well like Dark Civilization which is on the WW forums but it was left to die which feels bad to me.
WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Im going to honest, and while I did read the points you made but honestly if it was true it would never be admitted publicly that there was anything "behind the scenes".
KingBiBiK I actually didn't enjoy Alew's continued overkill of wanting to get peoples votes but I truly believe you are right and if he won fair and square like you said i would have liked it better than what happened. In my mind you are the real winner and Qidian is a corporation in the game to make money at its basic level.
