So umm im just a bit curious since i recently noticed while reading xianxia novels how the authors never put a scene of taking a poop or pee at all. Does cultivators absorb their waste a.k.a 'shit' to to improve their cultivation?

    most likely absorb them, besides they're not really eat food in the first place (unless still low lv)
    usually using spirit stone or something equal to that especially in higher lv
    besides, higher lv means purer body (most MC getting rid of their impurities after lv-up, i supposed included shit)

    but in 1 novel i read there's still character "shitting" (it was also beautiful female peeing in the woods, she's a pretty strong cultivator too).

    in the end it's depends on author, who in the right mind writing shitting and peeing all the time?? unless it's supposed to be funny

    nihao05 I explained it in my novel I need to find the chapters, it might not yet published. Lol. I don't know whether other authors also explained it. At least, I ensure to add bathing scene (MC is male).

    Here is the truth at least in my own universe. It is unnecessary for cultivator to eat. All they need is spiritual energy. So that reduces it.

    Cultivator also had powerful sense. It is easy to check your own body. Using spiritual energy you could break those into the smallest particle.

    You can send those smallest particle if you want. As a gaseous thing, somebody may read this while eating.

    This is why those jade like beauty, heavenly fairy, or cold ice handsomely prince all are not good to get closer.

    There is a reson why they stayed single until the MC comes. Most author forget to describe smell, no. It is the main character who don't have good smell in the first place, so what Author could write about.

    This is why those MCs accepted those jade, fairy, or prince. At best they only remember female perfume once at the first meeting.

    The rest of the waste would appear after someone increase their cultivation. You must have read people with stinky liquid, removing impurities, etc. You know it is the hardest particle to remove.

    Poop is not required.

        MasterRabbink there's other thing that bothered my mind besides that poop/pee things, why no author ever write the girl in their story have their periods? Even in novel with female MC. Is that because the author is male then neglected this aspect or what?

            I think it depends on the author and how their world works. Usually low level still have bodily waste the normal way. As they level up most no longer need to eat or bathe. From what i have read most expelled waste through their skin (when this happens it smells really bad), or through one heavy exhale of air. If its expelled like this its usually because of poison or cultivating.

              From the medical view, human intestines need something to digest every day or else, it becomes malfunction. just like a machine that not used for a long time and get rusty, so if a human does not consume enough fibers on their daily diet, in long-term there will be some problem with their intestines. Now the question is, is that cultivator don't have any intestines anymore in their bodies? 😂😂😂

                As everyone know a cultivator need to get energy from somewhere so that energy come from their food but they absolve everything that is why they don't poop. The food and drinks are like pills and other condiments.

                why do you think the cultivator need to strengthen his organ and body. it's not for fun. its for the reason that you mention above. If my opinion it's not for that you mention then what is the use to eat pill.

                    Poche some cultivator start with body strengthening stage first before they start to Qi whatever things in some novel.
                    And you mention pill, what organ that used to absorb that pill? please enlight me with your cultivating knowledge :)

                                    They do relieve themselves through their pores (or so i imagine) when it's the body cleansing or release of impurities moments. After that then i don't know where they go anymore xD

                                      Is the setting in modern or ancient time? If in modern time, it would be easy to find sanitary napkin, but if in ancient era...Hmm even in Google search I still can't find what women use as sanitary napkin in that era 😁

                                          The whole point of cultivation is to remove impurities and become spritual immortals. If they have impurities despite absorbing qi, using multiple medicinal baths, eating spiritual beast food, and pills....they have truly wasted their life

                                            Normal female encounter what called 'morning sickness' in the first month of their pregnancy because their body developed something with different DNA. Normal female, not cultivator, already have the rejection process, now how come female cultivator get pregnant? Aren't male seeds that enter their bodies can be considered as impurities too?
