I give it good to even odds that this 'backtrack' is only temporary. Webnovel has again and again shown that it is run by total scumbags who don't give two fuks about it's consumers. They just want your money for as little effort as is possible to maximise their bottom-line. I have zero faith that this is the last attempt they'll use to force us PC users to use their garbage spyware/spamware app.

@ultrahi It's really just the latest string of 'stupid' I've seen from Webnovel, so I'm not shocked about their latest level of stupid. But honestly, I should have seen this coming, as they've been pushing for full app use harder and harder over the last few years, with this being the latest attempt.
You've clearly not been around for too long. This isn't the first time Webnovel have decided to go: "fuk it, lets do something stupid! Because Fuk our users! We just want their money!"
This website isn't even worth uprising for and they'll only find a way to get more money out you anyways. Something like "Buy Rebel membership today! Subscribe via our App to get %5 off!"

Like I said in my OP. I, and many others, have put up with a lot over the last 5-6 years. We've been patient. Stuck through all their BS money grubbing schemes. We bore with each new restriction that only continued to straggle us PC users slowly and painfully as they squeezed us for more and more of our money, only to give us worse and worse conditions in the end.
It's honestly really sad. I've been with webnovel since their early inception and it's truly a shadow of what it used to be.

@Onigami Ah. Yes. Two of those sites (spacebattles.com & sufficientvelocity.com) are a little confusing at first to navigate. But both of them require you to use their forum search/filter features. Fanfiction.net is generally quite a bit easier to use, but you'll need to sign up for full usage (it's free however and simple to do).
Honestly, after all this BS I hope they still shoot people for gross incompetence in China...
Sites like: https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com, https://forums.spacebattles.com and https://www.fanfiction.net are good choices, and many of the really good Fanfics can be found these sites.

I stayed when they added ad's. I stayed when they dropped paywall after paywalls. I stayed when they added more and more ways squeeze as much money from me as possible (hell I even paid!). But this. On my end, I can't see any novels. It says "Progress 0/undefined" in the library and clicking on them does nothing. So, looks like someone screwed up on the web backend. Or the site is being destroyed?
So, a few things that I've learned from your comment. ಠ_ಠ
Sometimes, as I am reading, I will be randomly redirected to the: "https://passport.webnovel.com/login.html", then back to the page I was reading, then back again the above menioned page (this all happens without me doing anything at all). Constantly back and forth in a loop. Even refreshing and/or clearing cache doesn't help. This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened to me and it comes and goes at random (from what I can tell).
