Yes, every page refresh increases views by 10. I've read through one thread, where authors shared their views and collections count, and every single one had a proportion of around 0.3%. If we calculate it with x10 views multiplier in mind, then we get only 3% of people add novels to their library.

Trust me, they don't care. And debugger isn't annoying. They shipped it along with 'scrambled' text update. It's just some genius thought it would somehow prevent pirate site owners from analyzing the site. Simply disabling breakpoints completely nullifies this dumb 'anti-piracy' feature.

ImJ2 where do this misconceptions come from? It depends on the author. Some can do, some can't. Besides, I'm talking about success, the thing that would (presumably) keep you writing your novel until the very end. What that has anything to do with "80% either just translated or stolen"?

If you don't upload daily, then forget about achieving any success. If you really can't do daily, then do it consistently (every Nth day + consistent amount of chapters). Nobody can tolerate inconsistent updates. Web novels are drugs that should be consumed periodically.

Fanfic over 500 chapters? There are not many of those. At most you'd get multiverse hopper with a fraction of world you'd like to read about. I have seen some HP that are approaching 500 mark. AOT is pure disappointment, just forget it, this site doesn't have any good AOT fanfics.

What they did is very stupid. They generate new font with characters moved around. Originally, byte 0x61 represents 'a', byte 0x62 represents 'b' and so on. But in their font they 'changed' the values, that represent each character. Don't know whether this font is generated only one time or for each chapter.
Calling it anti-piracy is very unwise, as it is quite simple to solve for those pirate sites. There are 2 solutions that they can use.
As to why you have problems with spaces and words, it's (as I assume) precisely because of that. And this problem should only be present in paid chapters. There are bugs in their anti-piracy algorithm encryption, or in their new font.
I only read free fanfics, and haven't encountered this problem, but from your description I get that bug happens, when you scroll down to next chapter? If so, then that means they generate new font for each chapter, and fonts become overlapped or sth.
