I'm using latest version and some of the stories are in Indonesian? when they used to be in Englush. ,-,

EDIT: Never mind! For some reason when the app updated, they put the Indonesian version of the stories I read in my library even though I dont understand Indonesian language.

I'm sad some people didn't realize this. And I'm sad that some people who wanted the big bun badge won't get it cuz they rushed to unlock all the chapters on the second day thinking there would be more chapters to come; but sadly there wasn't. :/

Please revert back to the old version. My phone auto update so now I cant go back. New update is bad. Fonts tooooo big even on smallest size. I wont be reading until this is fixed. Ill still vote and do exp comments but thats about it. Really disappointed!

Ok, I've come back today with some complaints.

I guess yesterday my WN app didn't officially update the layout until today? I'm not sure but I've noticed some [big] changes and they aren't good in any way whatsoever.

First off, I will post 2 SS of what my WN app looked like before the update. Side by side, we have pictures of how my library looked before the update and how the smallest font looked like when I read novels. Notice there is no big white border around the text. [The text is actually still a bit bigger than what I like but this is the smallest it can go.]

Now, here is what my app looks like after the update officially happened.

My libraries novel's are so big and close together that the novel update notification is partially cut off. The new font for reading novels is quite a bit bigger than the old version's font. It also has an unnecessary border around the text making the text you actually read on the page lesser.

Keep in mind, both of the before and after novel font's are at the smallest size possible!!

Aside from these issues and the one I mentioned in my earlier post, everything seems to be working fine.

I actually ended up going back to the old version because the huge font makes me feel as if I am a somewhat blind person who needs extra large fonts to be able to read/ see the text. :/.

I am writing this on my laptop since I type faster on an actual keyboard than on my phone.

If you cannot download the latest update given in the first post, you must copy and paste the URL into your phone browser (whether it be Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.) which will then prompt the new APK to download. [Video shows the process of downloading the update]

First thing I noticed when trying out the latest version is that the loading screen takes a few secs longer than the older version previously did.

Phone: Huawei Ascend XT
Android Version: 6.0.1

Latest Version [Opened after fresh Update/ No other apps open]: About 10 ~ 11 secs to load
Latest Version [Reopening after Clearing Webnovel from App list]: About 6 ~ 7 secs to load
Older Version [No other apps Open]: About 4 secs to load

I tried exiting and reopening the updated WN app a few times and 6 ~ 7 secs was the concurrent times for all my tries.

When clicking the explorer page, it gives me a white screen for about 2 secs before it actually shows anything. Not a major problem but when I click on stuff on apps, I usually expect to see the content right away.

Reading the novels and page flipping is still smooth.

I like it. It works the same.

Only issue I have, I did not recieve any SS when I installed the newest update.

angkong I am reading on the smallest font WN has available because it is about the same size as I would use when reading ebooks.

Here's a comparison of what I mean. On the left side is the font size for an ebook I am reading (top) and a novel on WN I am reading (bottom). Then on the right side is a comparison on Sepia mode (what I usually use for night time reading) for the ebook I am reading (top) and then night mode on WN (bottom).

When I say "Sepia BG w/ No Night Light", I mean that it is just a normal Sepia Mode. Usually when night time hits, that sepia mode will still be sepia but with a hint of amber glow to it.

Anyways, what I am trying to say is that not everyone can read with white/grey text on black background for a long period of time without straining their eye. The grey tint on the text does help a bit but is not suitable for long term binge reading.

For me, when I say binge read, I literally mean binge read. [40~50+ chapters read consecutively..]

I think the devs should really consider adding the Sepia mode to mobile.

I am a night owl so I tend to binge read at night with no lights on while I lay in bed. When I use the 'night mode', it only hurts my eyes because of how 'intense' I have to focus on making sure I am reading the words correctly.

When reading white/ grey text on a black background for a long time, it just makes it really hard to focus and my eyes start to get stressed out since the words/letters are so light and close together, everything just starts blurring together after a while.

I can only read like this for maybe less than 10 minutes before my eyes start to feel like they are criss crossing.
