Veronica8 though the problem is, I haven't put any asian characters that's why I was confused. So I couldn't figure out which part of my novel was detected unu

HinataPerolada oh thanks. I was confused a little bit right there. I wasn't aware of that and I didn't know which parts were detected by the system.
I might consider to have a follow up about it, it's been a week now and there's still no answer yet. I think the system itself detected it though I wish they'd respond sooner. I'll go to discord soon if there's still no response.
Sorahana The thing is, the characters there are all Filipino. So, I was confused after receiving the notif.
Kouhaii I did email them and still waiting for the response. I just wanted to know which part that was banned so that I could adjust it properly.
I just received a notification regarding my recent novel:
"As Chinese or Korean appears in the chapter content (or chapter title, book title, abbreviation and synopsis ), your work will not be voted and gifted. After you modify the content, please contact the platform editor for processing as soon as possible."As far as I can remember, I really avoided any types of racism and racial stereotypes in my novel so that it wouldn't be flagged as "restricted" though I received this message four days ago. I was a bit confused which chapter in my novel that includes these restricted words. The entire novel itself was focusing on Filipino culture and not anybody else to prevent these events to happen.
I hope this gets noticed because I was a bit troubled that my efforts would go to waste if this matter wouldn't be solved. I have been writing this novel for years now and I wanted to modify it as soon as possible.
Are there any ways for me to restore my novel from being restricted in the platform?
- In Reviews
Well I gotta tell you that "dissing" and "constructive criticism" are two different things. I bet the most of us already know their differences. I have two things to point out tho.
There are readers who give reviews in a way that they are not paying attention to the novel at all. And if they didn't like the idea of the author and the plot, there would be a tendency that they'll flood you with low ratings and hate comments. I experienced that and it feels like shit and it makes me lose my motivation on my writing. Either they'd tell you that your story is trash or it's too (insert negative adjective) without stating a good reason at all.
There are also readers who give reviews positively but apparently they're just doing it for swap reviews and five star ratings. Most of those authors would delete the low ratings and critical reviews about their work for the sake of being featured on the app's homepage.
But hey, I wanna tell you that you shouldn't focus on those negative people and just keep on writing. Writing is a writer's coping mechanism. It's art. And art is a vessel for a person to express his or her emotions and thoughts. Just keep writing and shake it off.
And I reaaally wanna add tho. There are authors who demand five star ratings for their books. And it goes like this, "Rate mine five stars and we okay" something like that. Like, if you wanted to improve your work, you reallyyy need critics. You can't improve and tell yourself how great you are if you're ignoring and being an ass about it.
I would agree tho. Just recently, I asked for a review swap and I really took time to read a lot of chapters for me to give my reviews. However, I only received a "bot" like comment. Others spend weeks just to work for a single chapter then some originals would get tons of reviews (majority of them are just plain and empty) even though they need to put a lot of work on it to improve. I find it unfair though, especially when I'm really hoping for a review to help me improve my writing style.
I dunno, I'm not mad or smth. I'm just a bit dissatisfied about those kinds of reviews. Cuz like, there's one of my novels that got 6 reviews but only one of them truly criticized my work and helped me decide to work on it once again.
lycheepearlmilktea i will take time to read it then give review... thank you
