I looked it up. It seems like a Chuan Yue story- MC is a modern man but wakes up in a fictional era in the past in China. And he becomes a patrol officer in that era and catches bad people there. I see the reviews say that this book is funny. But I read the first chapter and finds it a little lewd for my taste. I would think this book would be super hard to translate because of all the references and details in Chinese.

It has no cultivation, no system. It is purely based on the real world. Although some of the main characters have supernatural powers, their powers are based on real North American legends.
The prologue starts out with a true historical event in WWII and it is based on actually researched historical details that happened 80 years ago (in 1941).

Chapter 1 will then starts with the main story in real world setting in modern day America. It's not in the hot top 100 ranking or anything but if you've got time, take a look.
