LVTeacherman I'm sorry if that was the case. I should not have jumped into conclusion.
And yes, I can see Amazon having a lot of that. But in that case it is usually terribly done. There is nothing good in a story written following a political agenda. At least in my opinion.

shadowdrake27 If talking about power and things like that then there is no argument. It is pointless to discuss such an obvious answer since all of us can see it with our own eyes.
I was just commenting on the part where he said that they "think different". And like I said, I think most of them do. After all, since old times we have grown up with different expectations and roles (not that I have anything against them).
But that does not make everyone, and I don't think that making a story about a woman who handles herself (David and Goliath) in times where they were treated like objects is bad. On the contrary, if we drop the "all-powerful" character trope that plagues the male MC side of WN I think we can build an incredible story.
And I'm not saying this because of "woman exposure" or crap like that. Just simply because conflict comes easy at every step because of that. Without you needing to go and find it. And conflict is what keeps your story alive.- Edited
SlaveOfTheLord Thanks for your advice. I see how it can help in the long run to keep up.
But even then... I'm sure that our opinions and ideas are never the same. I've been through situations where I leave a chapter for a few days thinking I nailed it and then come back a week later full of shame. Things like that must be happening to more people than just me. Right?
I wonder how can people deal with any of that. The constant doubts and morphing of ideas. Because planning for so long will definitely end up in you disliking part of your previous work.- Edited
Hi.
I have a question for all of you. How do you do it to write a chapter per day? Because I can easily write +1500 words. But ensuring that everything is well written and that it is the best output is definitely a no-no.
I even find myself coming back to previously written chapters and redoing them. Either to improve the readability or just because I dropped a big dump somewhere in the middle.
I feel like if I want to propose a novel I need to have more than 75% written AND be confident about it to even try.
Thanks for your comments.- Edited
LVTeacherman I think you need to meet more females. I would agree with you if we were talking over majority. But I get it that it's not the case from your message.
Humans are all different and there are women with "male-like" behaviors as well as men with "female-like" behaviors.
Also I don't see this being an overused trope. You almost never see stories like this on the Webnovel platform.- Edited
TeodoraK The "1000-year-old mage/immortal/elf/god would ever fall for a regular 16-year-old" one really is annoying.
Another one: Using magic (prob golem creation) to "magically" recreate the <insert cool modern technology or Sci-Fi item>.
And: Every member of the harem, who was originally portrayed as "powerful" instantly becomes stupid and powerless once they confess. In some novels the MC even creates magical-girl costumes with "golem creation" that makes them crazy powerful for some reason when singing or something.EternalNightLotus It might be a little late.... (To be honest I didn't expect someone else to reply) But I think you portrayed most of my worries perfectly.
What do you mean with "Bomb hard"? And thanks for the final message.ShoeInk Thanks for your comment. I never saw it that way, but after reading your point it kinda made sense. I will keep it in mind.
Regarding my MC. I was thinking of a not necessarily powerful character but extremely cunning and resourceful.
In my opinion it kinda fits with female leads but the issue resides in the lack of romance in the story.
I'm extremely conflicted with this last point. Because I can more or less change other aspects like personality. But I don't want my story to move around the "perfect guy". Much less a harem of them.
Thanks.Hi.
So I've had this idea in my mind for a long time and after doing some research I decided that it was time to write it down. I was a little hesitant in the beginning because I had no clue whether to select a male or female lead but after some thought I decided to go with a female one.
The problem is that the story that I want to write has nothing in common with those that you usually get recommend under the female section (mostly romance...etc) and I don't know whether to proceed or move on.
I kinda want to write this story with a female lead because I think it would give me more options... But I also want it to fit the "likes" of the people that apparently read these kind of stories.
¿What do you think? Thank you!
