Even the old dial up connections could handle them with ease, the servers required for this operation are nothing and probably require just 100 subscribers to maintain/ payoff.

I am not sure how to feel about this, I loved the subscription as I was able to read a lot more than I normally would. But I realize it was becoming unhealthy. Well, whatever, I still disagree about buying the stones. Not worth it.

Bring back the membership. I am literally ready to give this up otherwise. I have better things to do.

Can't they create some VIP pass system on top of the current system? keep the current system, add a pass system with a monthly subscription fee or something where people can access everything without the adds or SS.
My main issue is for new users or new readers. Say someone just joined the site or just started reading a novel eg. BTNHH it has ~150 locked chapters atm and it will keep on increasing at a rate of about 100 per month, the later a user starts reading the more locked chaps they find. taking 3.75 as the avg per chap for this novel they would have to spend ~565 SS or 10$ to unlock all the chaps.

Right now 544 chaps are free and the novel has total 973. which means 429 days more to read this without paying anything is the site follows the current scheme. the release is ~5/day and 681/973 are released. thus the novel should complete within 60days. at this point a new reader would have 369 chapters to pay for ~1400SS or 20$.

The user who starts reading today will have to pay for ~60 chaps more (200SS) at a binge reading speed.

But these novels will lose popularity once they are completed and they will have to move on to other novels.

So 1 year wait or 20$ in 2 months?..... I really don't know what the best business model is but this one is not the best long term. Some change is required.

I don't know their business model, I don't know the growth stats or the number of users but I would like an alternative. Right now, 1 chap/ day is great for certain novels but not so great for others.

look, premium based on word count is ridiculous according to me right now. Let's say some people have time and some don't, some have money and some don't. using the matrix from this we can get the following groups:
hThM - has time, has money - can read a lot of books and pay for them. -> small minority
hTnM - has time, no money - can read a lot of books but not pay for all of them. -> majority of people here
nThM - no time, has money - can read select books and pay for them. -> casual reader
nTnM - no time, no money - can read select books but not pay for them. -> casual reader

The premium would work for the casual reader and those who can pay for it.
hThM -> very small minority and can be considered exceptions, they are cash cows.
nT category will probably not need to pay much or at all as they don't read heavily and the daily free stones can take care for premium novels.
htnM -> majority of the heavy readers are this category and can be considered the main customers.

Someone reading 3-10 premium novels could just make multiple accounts with a single novel per account, easy bypass. it might be a bit cumbersome but you can just use multiple google accounts for it and it would take ~15-20 secs to switch. They cannot get rid of the free stones or else a lot of people would complain so I really believe a subscription system like Netflix is way better.

They can provide both systems but bypass the subscription as a VIP or something and make all content available.

So I read quite a few novels over here and was wondering how many chapters are premium? I mean when do they get unlocked? 10 chapters -> not true, I waited on one book. 10 days? -> have to wait for that one i think.
