  • [unknown] FP are still available in the app but its way too difficult to get them. No sane person would waste their time or money paying to read books just to get enough points to buy a single FP. And there are definitely not more readers on mobile lmao or if there are then only a small majority of them use the app cause of how shit it is. So in the end the outcome is the same and WN loses alot of money.

  • PancakesWitch except from the authors who wont get half the popularity they used to. With 60% of the readers gone theres gonna be 60% less power stones etc being put into the novels. Welp when all the good novels get burried cause they have no popularity maybe the complaints of the authors will get WN to change.

  • Welp, webnovel never really had anything special going for it since all those pirate sites existed but it was just nice to come here to read for some reason. Nothing lasts forever ig so now that webnovels dead might aswell just dwell in the pirate sites. Even though WN increased their security we already know its getting broken soon so cya over in the dark side lads. Was nice while it lasted.

    • AimeeLynn I mean your earning less but who's to blame? Its not the readers fault. If they cant afford to fork out a shit ton of money every day to read 4 chapters of your shitty novel then thats that. You can keep writing or you can stop but webnovels decision to remove 60% of their users makes no sense. Atleast when people where reading for free they were voting for novels with power stones etc which in turn gave the novel popularity and attracted more people to it (some of which would pay, increasing the amount you earn). You see the system was fine as is, readers enjoy reading, authors gain popularity/income and webnovel still earns a shit ton of money from their overpriced coins. Its literally a win win but now everythings fucked. You can enjoy having 4 people read your novel while the pirate sites can spam ads at the other 500 people and earn way more money then WN and the authors. Can't be blaming the readers for the sites shitty decisions.

    • Darth_Xiane Idk bout you but having around 60% of the people that read a novel suddenly drop it because webnovel took away fast passes is a fuckin massive blow to the authors. Not only do the authors lose most of the readers but new readers wont stick around so the author ends up writing this god level novel and nobody knows about it cause its no longer getting any power stones or anything. Most of the novels on the site are quite literally just going to vanish off the face of the earth since they arent getting any readers and all 15 people that pay to read a novel sure as hell arent gonna be giving enough attention to the authors in order to keep them motivated or popular.

In short, the webnovel completely fucked over their authors, because believe me, there are many readers who will just move on to pirate sites etc.
