It's been days since the last update. I'd like to to know if it's been dropped, or is the translator having a break?
If you don't hear from them, file a dispute on Paypal or do a chargeback.
I haven't done this yet to Webnovel, but I did a chargeback in the past.
Lonelytree Thank you for letting me know. I didn't know there are 2 kinds of contracts. I thought the spirit stones spent were a bonus and on top of the per chapter pay.
But still, they shouldn't just drop it like that? Can they change their contract and get paid by chapters instead? Because no one would work on it then if it's really not earning.
Fourclovers Thank you for explaining about the spirit stones and gifts. But translators are also being paid per chapter, just like the editors (and their rate is higher than editors) so it's not like they're doing this for free. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I understand that they're human too, but if they can no longer work on it and fulfill their contract, then the right thing to do is hand the novel over to another translator.
It's such a shame and waste to see a beautiful novel like this rot away and lose its readers. And it's one of those rare ones without an abusive rapey ML...
I thought they were paid by chapters? So if it's not popular they won't get paid much?
That's very unprofessional of them, if that's the case. They know what they have signed up for and yet they're acting like this. I'm sorry if I sound rude.
Is there anything wrong with their group? There's a comic translated by them that stopped updating too
