It’s on hiatus. The translator is busy and doesn’t have great motivation to translate. He doesn’t make a lot of money off this book since it’s not getting a lot of reads. I understand him, despite this being a great read the power ranking has always been low. Only thing we can do is keep voting for it with power stones to get the rankings up. I also heard the book lost an editor as well, so that makes it worse.

It’s a really fluffy book it sucks that people see the name Ye Fei Ye and people choose not to read it. But I’ll be patiently waiting until it updates again!

That's very unprofessional of them, if that's the case. They know what they have signed up for and yet they're acting like this. I'm sorry if I sound rude.

    I think this novel should be pretty good with rankings, as it is not like those novel in which ML abuses FL in name of love, it's really good to see ML tries his hardest to impress FL, it's really good and fluffy romance

    They get paid by spirit stones. If not a lot of people read it then there will be less people willing to spend spirit stones on it. The last time I checked they also don’t have a gifting option for some reason? Gifting could also help too.

    I understand why it turned out that way. He works hard to translate but he doesn’t get a lot out of it. Hes barely making anything from translating this novel so he placed his focus on other books So he could pay his bills. Its unfortunate but understandable so I’m willing to wait.

        Fourclovers Thank you for explaining about the spirit stones and gifts. But translators are also being paid per chapter, just like the editors (and their rate is higher than editors) so it's not like they're doing this for free. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

        I understand that they're human too, but if they can no longer work on it and fulfill their contract, then the right thing to do is hand the novel over to another translator.

        It's such a shame and waste to see a beautiful novel like this rot away and lose its readers. And it's one of those rare ones without an abusive rapey ML...

            I agree! First Ye Fei Ye book where it’s sooo breezy yet everyone is sleeping on this novel. It’s really such a shame! I always recommend this book to others but sigh it’s still low.

              Fourclovers pay n earning is all understandable but is replying that I am on hiatus or will come back soon such a trouble for the translator. ...it seems like he is taking the readers for granted which is not good exactly the same way if we take them for granted...sadl'y I don't feel for him now as all the readers needed and wanted was a reply since a month...

                Kathinja There are two different contracts, paid by spirit stones and paid by chapters. For Beautiful Time with You, last i heard, the tl is being paid by Spirit Stones. So if the tl is not earning any money, it's not hard to see why he has lost motivation.

                    But still, they shouldn't just drop it like that? Can they change their contract and get paid by chapters instead? Because no one would work on it then if it's really not earning.

                        Lonelytree This is the first time I've heard of this. This is terrible. Getting paid by Spirit Stones (and by SS only?) is such a gamble. I also thought SS was on top of the per chapter payment. If what you said is true, then it's no wonder there are many dropped novels on this site. 😕

                          The translator of The Bumpy Road of Marriage has sent in a request to pick up the translation work for this one. I hope webnovel will approve it fast so that they can start working on it soon. There is still hope. Fingers crossed.
